Hey gang, I just picked up 2 project scooters from a friend who just wanted them out of his yard! They are both matching 2007 Geely 49cc 2T's. I noticed the other day that these puppies are TOP mounted motors!!! Knowing what I do about the short case 150cc top mounters, I wonder if (seeing as you can easily order up the whole motor and final drive etc.. from partsforscooters or whoever has them) the conversion is relatively easy or not. I know I'd need a CDI and a few other add ons to make it work but from what I gather, the wiring is almost the same and i wouldn't have too tough of a time doing it. Any thoughts? it would be great to have a smokin' project bike that's lightweight and most likely a screamer off the line!!
