A friend has a 50cc scooter and it does not charge the battery at all. We figured it was the voltage regulator so she bought a new one and I swapped it out. Before I installed the new one I did check to make sure there wasnt a break in the line to the battery.
Once installed I hooked up the meter. On idle it came in at 12.82v. When I would rev, it would only go up to about 12.95v. Correct me if I'm wrong but it should go up to 13-14v to charge.
What else could be the issue? Or is this enough for a 50cc to charge?
