Hello all! New to the block with a new 2008 XY260T-4! If anyone has any suggestions on how I can fix an idle problem that I am having with the scoot! It is fresh out of the crate and I have put 25miles on it. Problem is..., it idles fine on start up (1800-2000rpms), but once it is warmed up, the idle drops to 1000-1100rpms. If I ride it, the scoot will then stall after I slow to a stop... Seems to be the only thing challenging me right now. I am not a mechanic but am willing to learn. Can anyone suggest what I should do first? I would appreciate any help.

Have you turned the idle up? There is a screw with a spring around it on the carb. Turn clockwise that will turn your idle up. You want you idle around 1700 rpm when it's warmed up. If it is still stalling when you come to a stop after you turn you idle up then you need to check the valve gaps.

Thank you premierscooters, I haven't touched anything on the scoot yet (in terms of fixes or adjustments) but I will give it a shot! I will let you know how that it turns out. Thanks for the tip...

Welcome
You might want to go to the 250cc and up forum to ask for specific advice on your scooter. Not that Priemer does not know what he is talking about.
