here are pics of the new 255x50 - 12 tires and the new wheels.. on my magnum. I screwed up on the wheels i got the 12x7 4x3 instead of 12x7 5x2 profile and they stick out and inch more, but i'm gonna let the tire wear down the plastic ( it makes cleaner cuts than i ever could.) and try to find some generic stickon fender flares i can use to extend the fenders out (for legal purposes) rides like a totally different trike smooth no seat pounding , lol and seems a bit faster will know better when i get my new clutch in ( STILL WAITING ------ supposedly sent out 2 weeks ago) as u can see 255's will work with 5x2 wheels they wont stick out hardly any and pleanty of clearance except for the slight trimming of fender lip..... and it also raises rear slightly higher feels to me a better ride but i just took short one because of clutch but they make a world of difference i could tell that right away. ya mike i could have but now I have the old ones already mounted for emergency use and I really wasn't extremely sure (98% only) that they would fit LOL..
and of courcse after i got these ordered I found some 20.5x10 inch trailor tires rated hight speed coulda went with those and 10x7 wheels and still got a little taller tire than the originals... would have to check the inside clearances real good for the 10" wheels tho...

ya mike. as u can see the tread of the tire is just rubbing on the end of the fender well on bumps and such. it took off about 1/16th of an inch on the left front just a hair on the right front of the wheel well on the fenders.. i might even look at bending the mounts underneath up just a hair.. i mounted wheels with the rear deck on and trike jacked up by the lower a-arm cross brace so the a-arm was in same position as if sitting on ground. make sure if you get new wheels to get the lug nuts also.. I just ordered a set for mine the original are way too short....... the lugs are 10mmx1.25 and the ones i got are 1 1/2 inch long the originals go all the way into the holes in the new wheels...... The Wheel i got is from Vision wheels model Outback - 159 Machined Clear Coat.. 12x7 4/115 4x3 but i think the 5x2 offset is on the original wheels which would set the wheel into the trike another inch or so........
looking now at 3 inch fender flares from J.C. Whitney to get legal on tires outside fender....

Parsons: The rims that came on my 2010 Magnum are 6.5 inch wide. Offset is 1.5 inch (towards the outside). The inside ofset is 5". I have to admit I have never liked the acorn nuts that hold them on. The good fit is just not there and never has been.
