I've asked this question before and didn't get a single response. I have looked all over this forum and found links to the manuals and
pics of the engine the links I found and tried to go to have either been taken off as I get message 404 link no longer exists or is broken I know that I am new to this forum but I didn't get a single reply. So I am asking again DOES anyone know of a maintenance manual for the linhai 257cc or the yamaha clone. I know that I am just a puppydawg and am not sure where to look then again maybe I need to get to the big guru dawg gang to get a response, seems puppy dawgs are put down and treated like they don't know anything after all aren't we all here for the same reason and that is the live to ride and ride to live?

This is about the best you are going to find for that engine. The scooter is a bit different but the engine is basically the same. Yamaha 250 |

Peacedawg - I have a manual that I purchased from the distributor of Linhai. They are on two different Microsoft Excel files. One is the parts information and the other one is the Service Manual. If you print the manual out, it comes out fairly organized. I have actually printed the entire thing and keep it in a 3-ring binder and use it when I am doing repair.
The parts file is about 8 megs and the manual is about 11 megs big. If you IM on this site and provide me with your email, I will send it to you. I am happy to help out another Linhai owner.
I felt the same way as you did when I could not get any documentation on my scooter. It was very frustrating.

My Linhai Mainstreet came with the operating manual, and the parts manual. But since mine is the 300cc, it may not help. I did not reply eariler because as far as maintenance I thought you were just asking for when to change oil, etc, which is already covered in the info scooterollie has posted. I'm going to try to send you a link to download the manuals that came with my bike. Hope is works for you... the oldkid.. just click on the selections at the top of the page, and then the pulldown selections for different places on the bike. www.geocities.jp/liner_jb/ |

The dealer I bought from emailed me an exploded parts view of a Linhai 260. No verbal repair instructions, just a good look at how its put together. Its in an Excel spreadsheet form.
I'd be happy to email it to you, or to anyone else that is interested in it.

Ninjadeacon - PM me with your email and I will send you the official version that I bought from Sunright. I have two files - Parts list and maintenance. This covers both 260 Aeolus and the 300 Linhai Mainstreet.

Mine is a Vog 260, which I believe would be the same manual, correct? Does the year matter? Mine is 2007.

scoutress - I'm not sure how different the internal parts are on the Vog vs. Linhai. I know the engine itself is the same but as for rest, I do not have any experience with it.. If you want a copy to compare, I will be happy to send it to you. Please PM me with your email and I will forward them. It will be on two separate Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.
