Hello. My name is Rich and I just purchased a MC-54-250. I was able to get it all together and changed the oil and I will be shortly working on changing the gear oil (I plan on using Royal Purple that has been recommending by several people). I started it up (could not wait to hear it run) and was able to, but I am running into a bit of a problem. I can get the scooter to start with the remote, but I am not able to get the scooter to start by using the start button. I have the scooter up on its stand; I have the key turned to the right position; the engine kill switch turned to the on position, and I have grabbed the rear break handle and then pushed start. I get nothing, but like I said. I can get the scooter to start with the remote. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

howdy, if the side stand is still extended even though it is on the center stand, it still won't start. i have heard many comments here that say that the remote start causes lotsa trouble so they disable it somehow.
lotsa miles and smiles to ya --and welcome to the forum

Sever freinds of mine that have these scooters seem to like and have had good experience with Royal Purple. That said, I am open to any sugestions. I am going to double check the kick stand when I get home, but I can say that the bike will start wtih the kick stand down with the remote. I have also noticed that the horn does not work either, no matter how the bike is started.
PS: Thank you for the Greetings
