Pretty cool, but they are notoriously unstable going around corners. Same issue as the three wheeler ATV's. Hopefully this one has a low center of gravity, but I wouldn't trust it over 30 mph.

I guess it could be better than taking the bus or walking from point A to point B. I would recommend tinting the windows dark and wearing a ball cap low on your face to remain anonymous while driving this zit bucket.Be very careful turning corners.

Pretty cool. The wholesaler I am always talking about has some "Tri Fun Trucks" on his lot. Looks to be the same machine almost. But has a nice dump truck style flat bed. I think its a little better made machine than this one. It is powered by a 4cyl engine made by GM. its fuel injected, and gets 42+MPG and will run 70MPH or so, has A/C and some other features. These are 1/4 ton pickups. And the build quality looked decent as far as structure and mechanical, The interior was pretty cheap though. The sell for about $9500 BTW if your into cars check out some other vids by SaabKyle04 on YouTube. he does reviews on ALL KINDS of stuff.. from 1950's cars to Super cars, to weird stuff like this Wildfire, and new stuff too. Here is a TriFun Truck.

It's in the appropriate place... the junk yard! It gives new meaning to the term "Unsafe at any speed!" Notice how dude was scared to drive it around the lot? Hahahahaha After watching that Top Gear clip I can really see why dude didn't want to risk going to far! Talk about a death trap! LMAO!!!

howdy, it seems that it needs a mechanism so that when the steering wheel turns, the car leans into the corner. wouldn't take much lean to make it safer? if it was not too radical a lean , it wouldn't be dangerous backing up at parking lot speeds either.
lotsa miles and smiles to ya

i kinda like that pickup version, it kinda reminds me of the cushman trucksters. something like that could be very usefull in a city if you were doing landscaping etc, or just needed a little run about for the odd job.

Explain to me how a 3 wheel vehicle, equipped with seat belts, and providing SOME metal around you the driver could be LESS safe than the 2 wheel vehicle you ride now??? that has NO metal around you. Pretty sure your scoot and mine can tip over if you go too fast around a bend?? I am not comparing this to other cars, it certainly LACKS in that regard. These machines are designed to be basic enclosed transportation for low speed operation. and you need a motorcycle endorsement to drive these in most states.

...not for this particular thing that operates like a car even to the point of leaning outside on turns. This one looks like it was rolled but it still starts and drives even if a bit substandard so there is some credit to be said there. The pickup is cool... can't inspect it in Maine at least last I knew... the law requires a pickup truck to have all "four wheels." I can only image what incident had to occur for that law to get written. Always seeing similar vehicles for sale in New Hampshire though.

Your joking right? Did you not watch that Top Gear clip? Do you seriously think that mini van looking Wildfire would be more stable? I've leaned the crapmobile till the kick stand scaped the gound and I'm still alive and kicking. So no I stand by my statement.... Unsafe at any speed!

If you crash on your scoot head on into a brick wall at 45MPH, and you crash in the 3 wheel vehicle at 45MPH.. You WILL be more injured on your scoot than in that 3 wheel car. Going around a bend at an safe speed is something you have to LEARN to do on your scoot, and also in this car. Enough with the Ralph Nader crap.

A few months age I was at a new car dealership and checked out a stripped 2010 Ford F150. I could have taken it home for $22,000 or so the dealer said. (I trust rattlesnakes more) At $10,000 that little truck could do the job for many of us if it had 4 wheels. I am not too fond of the 3 wheel setup but I would drive one given the chance just to see for myself how it handles. That would be the deciding factor. Remember, trucks like these are used all over the rest of the world. Ever hear of the Vespa Ape or the HD Servicar?

You see the little Hyundai or Daihatsu 3 or 4 cylinder pickups EVERYWHERE in Asia and other countries. You'd be surprised at how much an 80hp motor can tow!

Greg A few companies here in south Fla. sell them but they are not street legal here. off road use only and yes 4WD. I would love a 2WD for the street.

There's a guy here in Lakeland that drives one of those little 3-wheeled pick-ups all over town. I see him every morning going to work and it is tagged. I imagine getting insurance for it might have been a problem. ;D

The new 3 wheel trucks are legal, its the 4 wheel trucks that are not. They are used by golf courses, cities, and people who hunt or own property. For somebody like myself (retired, 2 motorcycles, 1 scooter to ride) who only drives his truck 3,000- 3,500 miles a year it would do fine. I need to be able to cruise at 50-60 mph. I am not sure if they are registered and insured as a motorcycle/scooter or a car.
