Hello Dawgs, I was looking for any info or hands on about this trike. I did a search on here, but no luck. I think it has been out since 2008. TIA www.theautomoto.com/

All I know is that they are slow 45mph the back end is narrow and the top just slows you down even more and useless. They haven't been selling many of those and I am sure they will soon quite making them. Some have bought them only to put them up for sale within a couple of months after purchase(which tells you alot right there). There are many better options if your looking for a trike. Lefty

Thanks Lefty, This was an offer for a trade-in i was thinking of doing with my local dealer. He does not have it in the store yet so I figured I'd check here. I really want the 2011 Tornado 300cc. It looks like I'll just wait to sell my Honda (she said I have to sell to buy and she's the boss ) then give Jim a call. The 150cc is also an option but I like the idea of having the extra power if I should need or want to use it. The search continues CrazyD

Crazyd - If you are interested in an in between trike - u might take a look at Thrifty Scooters. They have a trike TC-150-9 that comes in both 150cc and 250cc. Beyond that I know nothing about the trikes. They are mfg by Motobravo and I know nothing about them either. One thing for sure - you cannot go wrong with Jim. John

Couldn't you put a bbk on the Auto Moto's stock engine? Or maybe even replace it with a bigger engine??

Hi folks, I have an Automoto (Xingyue XY150ZK) Sport (open cab). It's nice for riding in and around suburban/metro areas. After re-doing the PDI with a mechanic friend (seat bolt was loose and muffler bolts needed loc-tite) and going thru the break in period....it's a nice city scoot for a middle age guy with a bum knee.
Downside---the importer does a fair share of the PDI, but they need to work with local dealers to make sure the delaers go over the bikes on delivery to show room----no reason I should be doing it myself. I see the market continuing if they get that nailed down.
Since the top speed for me is around 45 to 48 mph (i weigh about 190) the speed is fine for city but anemic for HWY. The US market would probable fail if they don't get a 200 or 250 cc factory model available. If not, they need to work with domestic folks who can modify the heads and such and get aftermarket parts available for owner/local mechanic upgrades (head/cam/crank, etc). [from what i understand, not all GY6 cylinders/etc are interchangeable.]
FYI: the bikes lean great but if going too fast and in too tight a radius the back end stuttters to the outside of the curve...still a major improvement from fixed cab/fixed axel trikes.
FYI 2: other companies have just started importing leaning reverse trikes at 250/260cc...direct mail from the usual importers of off-brand models. no experience with them.
Ride safe, E

Well if it STUTTERS on a tight turn it probably does not have an OPEN END DIFFERENTIAL like the ICE BEARS have. That means that the inside wheel is NOT turning slower than the outside wheel which an Open Differential does. Making a turn the outside wheel is naturally turning more than the inside wheel on a turn. Lefty
