GAS MILEAGE!! When you build up any motor you are not building it for savings on gas. You are building it for power and speed and that takes more gas that can be burned to produce the power. But I would estimate about 50-60 miles per gallon. Lefty

Oh I know edfr, I was just playing but it almost seems better to spend probably less than you paid for all your parts and just buy a 200cc. Not trying to present an argument as per I was just sent forums rules regarding that.

Not trying to present an argument as per I was just sent forums rules regarding that. You are right that he may have paid less for a 200 already built but, that is just what he would have got. He would still have to have put the gears in he wanted to use and check to see if it had the load bearing for the final drive in it. The nice part of building yourself or having it done is that in most cases more care is taken in making sure that all the pieces are machined and fit correctly. You can pick and choose whose parts you want to use and you know that they cases are machined correctly because you have the jug there for the machinist to measure. Just my three cents worth. Also not trying to start and arguement either. Jim

Where can one buy a 200cc Short case with the Tranny setup to drive the Sprocket that turns the differential. Or would one have to take that part off the existing motor and would it fit on a 200cc motor not made for a trike.
If someone knows it will work let me know sh!t if mine goes I will go for one. And remember just because they say it is a 200cc it really is not, they are far less than 200ccs. They round the real displacements up quite a bit to make them sound more potent. Lefty

Scrappydog has a short case 200cc with reverse tranny and they say it bolts in place of a 125/150 ATV/buggy/4wheeler but says nothing of a trike rear set up. They have been prompt in responding to my questions though. Im finding out quickly about the "round up is good enough" in regards to piston size. Its auctually pretty funny.

Yea that looks intresting the problem with the engines from Scrappy i Do Not Beleive they are NEW. Everyone that has ordered an motor from them get used pieces and some even come with broken parts(HAHA). If he would GUARANTEE it is a NEW MOTOR and not REBUILT I would check into the dimensions and especailly the Shaft to drive the Sprocket for the chain. Lefty
