Instead of clogging up the review thread figured a new one would be better.
Just recently started having a problem with the headlight on the scooter.. When turn the key to activate everything, just prior to starting, the headlight comes on. However, after starting the main headlight goes off and instead left with the two little running lights that are located just under the head light. As you can imagine this isn't the best thing to have.
The problem started after putting a 20 pound (appr 9 Kilo) tub of cat litter in the top case. Am thinking that is coincidence but still worth noting.
Have not looked at anything under the tupperware yet to try and troubleshoot, looking at the service manual it shows the wiring of the headlight. The wiring seems straight forward, probably could be rubbing against something, but think am going to focus on the head light control module.
Sometimes, after starting and going for awhile, the headlight does come on so that is why mentioned it was intermittent, and leads me to believe some type of control unit problem.
Thoughts?

Kutch, if you haven'y seen this review, check it out: symforum.com/index.php?topic=982.0I've had the same problem from day one. All you do after starting is just toggle the headlight button and they stay on till you turn it off. It seems easier to do that then take all the plastic off and try new bulbs -- until I really have to! I've gotten so use to the procedure, I try and toggle the lights on my HD200!

there is a relay switch that quickly blinks the headlights when the starter motor is engaged - this relay switch has been sticking on some bikes - unstick by flicking the light switch.

Thanks johnnyop
Finally have fixed this problem I think, after getting tired of dorking around with fiddling the switch. Haven't taken it for a ride yet but started engine couple of times and the headlights always stayed on without fiddling with the switch. Put the H4 halogen bulbs in and that took care of it. Broke the support for one of the retainer clips, but think have bulb secured in place good enough. Will see how it works and update thread, after replace my rear flat tire.

OK, think it's been a long enough test to call it a success. Since have installed the higher wattage halogen headlamps, have had no problems with the lights not operating. Even in below freezing weather..

I have also been having intermittent headlight problem. It sometimes would not come on when I went to start. I usually flick the high beam switch and it comes on. My mechanic thinks it may be the light switch. I will show him this thread for his comments. My CityCom 300i is 2012 model now with 6300 kms on clock. FYI I'm averaging 31+ km/litre.
