If ANYONE has a clue, please speak up. I got a new bike about a month ago a 2008 Roketa MC54 250B and the other day when I went to start the bike (which has less than 1,000 kilometers on it, ya it shows kilometers not miles traveled, but I regress) I got nothing. It did however start with the remote start, so I took it to a friend who could not get it to start with the key in the ignition. He was checking for lose wires and had the ignition sh!tch completely unplugged and the thing started via remote start !!! So the key controls nothing at this time but the bike starts via remote start. When it is running I have lights ,(both hi and low) tail lights and instrument lights and readings BUT .... no turn signals, brake lights, emerg. flashers, or horn. Can someone please help.

The ones that do not come on are Activated when you turn the KEY to ON and get 12v from the battery to flow. So check if some wires are not connected by the KEY or down the harness somplace. Lefty Here is a simple diagram which might help trace the it. Notice the Wire from battery going to ignition switch.

it is a blown fuse either under the seat or on the start relay under the right side cover. Check the one under the seat first.

if it is not the fuse under the seat check and make sure that a pin hasn't backed out of the fuse holder. I've seen that too on that model.

All fuses that can be found have been checked. What is throwing me off is that with the ignition (key) switch UNPLUGGED it istill starts and runs. Is that normal for a scooter? I was thinking a bad key switch would answer the horn / brake /turn & stop light issue but would it also keep the elect start button from engaging? The guy working on it said he is getting 1 hot fuse and 3 cold at the fuse box under the seat, it that helps.

same thing happened to me last summer. When i turned the key on, i had no lights at the instrument cluster or anything and would not start. It did start with the remote. It happened without warning- was working like normal and then one day nothing. I replaced my ignition switch and not a problem since. I did disconnect the remote start when i had the stuff off.

The fuse under the seat appears to be a common problem with these scooters . if you replace it it will be good probably just turn the ignition switch and look for lights. The legs on the fuse have a tendency to break contact with the fusible link between them.

The most likely thing is that if you can start the bike with the remote and you have turned it off the same way, you lock out the key switch.
Disarm the bike and try to restart the bike with the key. The whole problem is in the alarm system.

Yes...your correct about using the remote....start with the remote and stop with the remote...then use the key...and put the remote away for good......I used mine one time and then it has been hanging on the key rack for 2 1/2 yrs....works great...enjoy the ride...

One again you guys come to the rescue. Well search brought me here, but... Just followed the remote advice and it fixed my convenient keyless startup problem. I thought I had a serious electrical issue.

I had the same problem as stated above on my JCL MP 250 A . It is very simular to the Roketa with 257cc Linhia power train. Took the ignition switch out, took it apart, cleaned contacts, greased it lightly, put it back together, reinstalled switch, problem vanished forever. Ignition switch has phillips screws holding it together. Not rivits like a lot of cheap ignitions. Actually I've seen American switches that were not made as well. Not real difficult either to fix switch. A little tough removing and reinstalling though. But "can " be done.
