So I have been going stir crazy being at home all the time. So I decided to ride to Tampa and hop over to St. Pete for a little beach action. All in all I put 190 miles on my bike yesterday..... a LOT of riding hehe. When I got out there, the screws on my carb had loosened up and it was idling super fast so I had to readjust my setup but all in all, it was a blast and the bike did fine. I didnt take to many pictures but I took one a few people should instantly recognize if they live in St. Pete.

Dang....i'd like to be there. March and April in southern Ontario this year were a true letdown, even the folliage bloom was two weeks behind.

I almost forgot to tell you all. I was riding back home, and next to the bridge to tampa, there is a LOOOONG strip of sand and I figured I would ride on the sand to stay off the 55mph road.... bad idea but fun. I was jumping dips and such like a dirt bike. It was crazy fun. I was afraid that I would damage my bike but I figured the hell with it and have fun. So for about 2 miles I had the most crazy dangerous ride of my life coming off the ground about every 5 feet or so and doing crazy jumps. I was glad everything was secure and not loose and my bike was in great shape.
Its not the first time I have taken it off road. Ive taken it on some pretty gritty bike trails with some tight riding, but this was totally nuts. Doing jumps at 30mph on an old scooter was awesome.
The 2 stroke engine on this bike really has alot of power for this sort of thing, and I keep up just fine with all the dirt bikes on the trails making them go WTF is with this scooter guy... we cant lose him.

190 miles is a fair amount of mileage for one day. I wish we had some warm weather here in CT. We have had rain all week. In past years, I would have been riding just about every day, but this year, I'm driving the car. My students are very sympathetic about the rotten rain.
