We took the scooter camping up the mountain over the weekend from Va to WV the ride up the mountain was pretty bad as the grade was way to steep for the 50cc we planned on camping at the foot of the mountain but all the sites were taken so up we went it was a good trip the wives followed in the van and shot this video if it comes up of us riding down the mountain in the rain www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1964018709564&comments

Couldn't see the video, not a facebook person. But are you saying that 2 adult men rode a 50 cc up a mountain? If so, no wonder it was a bad ride. A 50 cc engine isn't all that strong to begin with, but 2 adults and a mountain are not a real good combo for that ride.
I have taken my 250 cc camping up mountains in New Hampshire. I had all my gear and food loaded on the scoot. It was a fabulous trip. I really love camping with the scoot. (Every summer I go bicycle camping with 2 friends. We ride the fully loaded bicycles either 33 miles or 44 miles, depending on which campground we decide to go to that year. Camping with Silvano, (the 250 Honda Reflex), is SO much easier!!

Two guys on 2 scoots makes a lot more sense. Sorry you hit rain. Had rain and hail last summer on my way back from Maine. My face shield doesn't cover my chin. The hail was like constantly being bombarded with pebbles.
