Sterling, Take the CVT cover off and the belt should have the number of the belt printed on it.
If you have a SHORT CASE motor the Belt Size it 743-20-30 if you have a long case motor it could be any number of belts starting in the 835-20-30 or longer than 835.
Count the Bolts that hold the CVT cover on, If there are 8 Bolts that hold the CVT cover on it is a SHORT CASE motor which takes 743-20-30 size belt. If 10 bolts then it can be anything in the 835-20-30 or longer than 835mm. Lefty

Sterling, The Front Chain Sprocket - How Many Teeth Does it have? The Rear Chain Sprocket on the Differential- How Many Teeth Does it have? The Front Variator Pulley which Holds the Weights what is the Diameter of it?
You may be able to change both. For more Top End Speed. Usually on Just about all 150-250 scoots/trikes you can get a Performance Variator which are the same SIZE in DIAMETER as the Front Face Pulley so that the Belt is able to Climb Higher for more Top End MPH.
On the Trikes If the Front Chain Sprocket is Smaller than the Chain Sprocket on the Differential by having a Sprocket with More Teeth on the Front Sprocket you also Gain more Top End MPH.
That Trike Looks just like the Ice Bear 300cc Trikes. But it MAY BE SETUP just like the Ice Bears 150cc Trikes.
Take a picture of the Front Sprocket behind the Muffler AND a picture of the Rear Axle. ALSO get the Number of the ENGINE on the ENGINE CASE somewhere in front of the CVT so the Engine Can be Identified. Lefty

Hi Sterlig, Well the Variator looks like you already have the biggest that will fit there so your ok there. Also you have the Long Case Motor and it is the 161 I think it is in the 180cc(s) number. I think it takes the 835/20-30 belt but it should be imprinted on the belt.
I have never seen that Part on the Outside of the Front Sprocket, looks like some kind of Gravity Clutch. I would have to do a search on that piece but maybe someone knows what it is and does. Notice that it grabs the smaller gear on the Shaft maybe for free wheeling I don't know.
But the Rear Axle is the same as the IB Trikes straight axles come with. You can call them and ask if they have a Front Sprocket with more teeth than the one you have because it looks like it is a 24 tooth sprocket otherwise it would be almost as big as the One on the Rear Axle. Lefty

Hi lefty, Thanks for info, that unit you think is a gravity clutch, there's only a 6cm spring in there which broke and stopped the bike from moving forward, i've streched it back to size until i can find a replacement, would you know the contact number of ice bear, regards, bob
p.s. can you tell by that engine number if it's a GY6.

Here is how they are coded and yes yours is a CY6. 1 = the number of cylinders 61 = the bore in millimeters of the cylinder Q = a GY6 type engine ML= a numerical code for the displacement in cc's, ML=200cc(s),(probably 189 but they round them up). The last two letters need an explanation. The M is constant but the next letter ascends alphabetically with each larger step in displacement. MB = 50cc, MC = 60cc, MD = 70cc, MH = 110cc, MI = 125cc, and MJ = 150cc. Therefore the newer 170cc's coming out would be stamped MK. The 200cc GY6 type engines are soon to hit the market and we will most likely have a designated of ML. Oh WOW! so that is like a Go-Kart Centrifugal CLutch, the Shaft turns but does not turn the Sprocket only when it engages the Small Gear on the Shaft. It is not a direct drive like the rest of the Trikes. Did you get this trike from IB or Did you order from someone else? You should be calling the Dealer you ordered it from to get the part It may not be Ice Bear, because I do NOT SEE THAT TRIKE BEING SOLD BY ICE BEAR, so they would not have the part. Lefty But if it is here is there Link and you can call them. www.icebearatv.com/150CC-Trike13.htm

Hi lefty, Well after much thought and a few nightmares i've stopped trying to understand the mechanics of these scooters, it's just beyond me, just going to try and replace the broken spring and hope for the best, maybe in the winter when it's laid up i'll try again, thanks again for steering me through a few rough points, it helped a lot, i'll post up a few photo's when i build it back up, regads, bob. The Spring you might find something at the Hardware store that will work and or Google for Springs, they have thousands of them all you need to know is how long and about how thick the wire is. Lefty

These scoots are simple. I don't understand what you don't understand about them. Good luck friend.
