Has anyone purchased one of the new Tank Urban Touring 150 SE's? www.tank-sports.com/us/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=83&Itemid=51 I like the look of this scoot a lot & I'm thinking about trading in my 150 Euro for one. Don't get me wrong, I love my 150 Euro, but the style of the Toruing SE looks really great, resembles a sport bike from the front & rear. It's got the same engine, so basically it should be the same scoot, just a different cosmetic package. Just wondering if anyone has any info. yet? Thanks......

Subaru -
Where did you get the Rocketa Jamaica? How much did you pay for it?
I think I can get the Torung 150 SE for around $1500 from my local Tank dealer.

scootluv,
One man's pile of "poo poo" is another man's pile of treasure. I am sure your scoot will be fine ;D

scootluv; Saw your post over on ScooterBBS, also. I would not let one comment about the Tank being "poo poo" influence my decision. I don't have one but did see one at my friend's Roketa dealership. The owner purchased it drop-ship from an internet dealer, had some assembly issues and problems resulting from shipping damage to the front forks. He could not resolve the problems so he took it to the dealer. I saw it there a couple of times and gave it a good look because I have a Roketa 250 and was interested in comparing the body fit & finish to mine. I thought the scoot looked good. Body panels were actually a little "cleaner" out of the mold - no rough edges. The engine started easily and sounded good. The mechanic said it ran well on the road. I was impressed with the fuse box under the seat. My Roketa has only one fuse for all circuits. Even though the damage occurred while in transit, Tank was sending a new front rotor and caliper at no charge. While this scoot is a little larger and heavier than the 150 Phantom-clone style, it will give a better ride because of the extra weight, about 2" longer wheelbase, and softer suspension. It is a better cruiser than the sport 150s. The Tank I saw had the taller sidewall 4:00 X 12" tires front and back, while some are equipped with 13" low profile tires. The 12" versions might be better riding (taller sidewall flexes more) and the 13" versions might handle better in sharp maneuvers but be harsher in ride.
Just some of my evaluations. If I had purchased my 150 in that body style, I may not have moved on to the 250. While i loved the look of my Phantom-clone, as well as how it handled, the ride was a little too harsh for me and for many of the roads where I ride. Is your scoot in transit? When do you expect it? If you have read a lot of posts here and on ScooterBBS, you will know to check your new machine over very carefully before putting it on the road.

Twigster my bad I thought you meant the old style Touring not the Phantera, Alien, Zues, looking one (I'm on dial-up didn't link to the site!). That should perform quite well. The old style touring is heavier 308 lbs. This says 260. I like these style scoots. Primo makes one called the Zues. Theirs says don't bid over $1499 on Ebay. So same thing, same money. Happy hunting!
