Hello, forum. I'm new here. Just bought a 2006 Primo SuperCharger and I hope there are others out there so I can ask questions. The previous owner really beat this thing up, so I have a lot of maintenance to do and I'm trying to track down parts. I'm located in Portland, OR.
I'll post more as I figure things out about this machine.

Welcome aboard mmrtech! A good place to start would be Stan Jessup's site > www.oregonvintage.com - He has many replacement parts available if your scoot has the basic GY6 engine. He's located in Salem, Oregon - So, you may be able to actually visit him if your're close enough. There are quite a few other sites out there for mechanical parts also. Just search for GY6 parts & you should find a lot. Do you have any pics of your scoot? Best regards, -Ken

I have a Primo Terminator. The Supercharger is the next one up on the scale from mine. www.primoscooter.com is the website. They are actually New Era Trans out of New York. They do business on E-bay as Paylessscooter. They are the importer of the Primo brand near as we can tell. On Ebay they list their phone number. Suposedly they have parts but I havn't had to try yet. Most parts are interchangable on these scoots. You'll get good service from Stan at Oregonvintage and he should have most mechanical bits you need! Aaron

Aaron,
I just checked out the Primo website. They have some nice looking scoots. I know you have been inquiring about a 250cc scooter. What do you think of the Zeus 250? I think it is pretty cool. The T-Rex is also very cool but that is a 150.

I don't have any pics yet, but will try to post some soon. I did some cleanup work on it the other day and just changed the oil this morning. The seller didn't do the initial change after the break-in period and I found that the level was a bit low. However, I put in a quart and the case almost overflowed, even though the manual said it should hold 0.3 gallons. I waited for the flow to stop completely before I put the plug back in, but I didn't warm up the engine before draining it, so maybe I didn't get it all out. Not sure.
I did find Stan online and ordered a new fuel filter and plugs, as well as a pair of mirrors that I will be able to actually USE.
ACD, when you said that the supercharger is the next "up" from the terminator, what did you mean. I heard something about an upgraded carburetor, but that's it. My scooter actually says Terminator on the side (and SuperCharger, and a whole bunch of model numbers that I couldn't find online).

You probably have over filled your oil!!!!! On the stand with the dipstick unscrewed just sitting in the hole the oil should come to about the 2nd x from the bottom. Thee's been alot of issues with oil blow-out from over filling discussed here! Your scoot and mine are identical but you have a bigger carb and a couple other things. Yours only comes in the Grey/Black combo I believe. Mine costs $1049 yours is $1199. I have had good luck with mine. Plug was NGK rubber hoses seem to be good quality and drive belt was a Gates Powerline not a no name brand. Tires are Chen Shin not the best but better than others I've seen. And yes the mirrors suck!!!

DOH! I'll go down and double-check the level. If it is over full, I guess the best way to drain it would be to use the drain plug, although I don't have any more oil on hand to top it off if I let too much out. Double-DOH! I found some of the other posts about over-filling.
I'll take some photos while I'm down there. I do indeed have the black and gray model.

mmrtech,
If you need to drain some oil but just a little use a turkey baster type device. Just stick it in where the dip stick goes and suck the oil out until you get the right level. I found that trying to adjust the oil level by using the drain plug was not working out to well because I could not let a little out at a time as easily as I could with the turkey baster. Plus if you drain too much you can just squirt it back in.

I just checked and (of course) the oil level was still much too high. It didn't magically go down since I put the quart in this morning. I actually used a drinking straw (my wife would kill me if I used our turkey baster and I didn't want to make a trip to buy one) to pipette the oil out. It was slow, but I had good control over the level this way and was able to pull out 6 ounces in about 15 minutes. That should put my content at about 26 ounces, which is what I saw as a good level in other posts to the forum. The dipstick has 6 or 7 X's on it and the top two are uncovered now. I'll probably start with 25 ounces next time.
If anyone else ever has to do this, make sure you put a rag in between the oil port and the exhaust pipe to catch spillage.
On a side note, I got my new parts from Stan today. One of the mirrors got broken during shipping and Stan immediately offered to ship me a replacement. THANKS STAN! You're the MAN!
Thanks for the help everyone!
Matt

Good tip. Figured out how to post the photo with my "avatar", but I think I need a better picture...it doesn't show well in that one.
