Well guys after much procrastination I got my sissy bar and rack welded up. I decided to paint it the same color as my trike...mainly because it was cheaper than having it chromed and I was to lazy to pull out the powdercoat machine...maybe later. Sorry the picture is so large but I can't get the pixs to shrink before I pulled them in. I will cut a piece of pressure treated wood to mount on the sissy bar and I'll cover that with foam and black vinyl. The rack mounts where the 3 holes were for the storage box and into a metal support bracket under the back seat Attachments:

Thx Lefty: I'm a terrible welder so to make things look nice I have to do a fair amount of grinding. This is an ok job I sure wouldn't put it on a show piece. However it's very functional. I'm a little weary about the amount of weight I can put on it but I made it so that I could put a bag of groceries and the like on it. I believe it will do fine for that. I also found a salvaged kawasaki ATV and the rack on it looks like it will fit perfectly on the very rear of my trike. I'll weld up 4 support rods and mount it to the 4 trike body mounts. This one will take longer and will be much better I do believe.

Thx Mike: I wasn't quite as frugal with my grinder that I should have been. When I do the rack on the bottom body piece I'll be a little more professional with it. I am pleased with the rack though. I forgot to get the drawings out of my wifes car but I'll try to remember tonight and I'll send you a copy. My wife says I should make these and sell them...too much work. The other thing I didn't think about was that when mounted the rack leans up. I should have taken that into account and heated the rack and bent it down about 10 or 15 degrees. Pictures are coming soon.

Ha Ha...thx Jim...I'm retired remember!! I have thought about opening an online custom accessories shop for these scooters. There seems to be only a handful of us that are willing to do this kind of work and I know there are probably a lot of folks that would like to have racks, sissy bars, luggage racks, handlebar risers, mirrors, extra lighting, etc. Doing this kind of work is far removed from flying airplanes that is for sure. But I must admit I like it more.
