Ok, so i went to install my new CDI and i screwed up!
As i was disconnecting the Male from the female (plug n play connection to the CDI) i pulled one of the wires out.. I posted about this before.
well anyway...
i ended up killing the battery. So i got down to the store and bought myself a battery charger, reconnected everything and installed the stock CDI. Went to start the bike and it just keeps turning over without actually starting up! What am i doing wrong? What's the next step to check!?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey Sauce! I don't know Tank products, but I know some of 'em have that pesky alarm system which can sometimes be a bit of a pain. You might wanna check to see that it hasn't shut things down. My GV has an interlock that won't let the bike start if the side stand is down. It can be very embarrassing if you forget about this! <--voice of experience. If you have any documentation, (I know, the Tank owner's manual is a joke!) check it over to see if there might be an electrical connection problem that may keep you from getting spark. Good Luck!

Are you sure you installed the wire that you pulled out correctly? Since I'm assuming that the scoot ran before you did this, this should be the problem. Are you getting spark? If so do you have gas? Is the gas getting to the carb? Just some thoughts.

There's the question...Did it run before with the old cdi? If so, put it back in and try..Maybe that new cdi is the wrong one or no good.

i tried all of the above with no luck.
-The Bike has Gas -I would presume it has Spark because it's turning over. But not firing. -I put the old CDI back in place -When i remove the carb gas comes out of it, so i'm guessing it's getting the gas it needs. -The bike never had an alarm system, unless it was hidden and i did not know about it. I would presme it would be apparent.
I was wondering maybe the Sparkplug wasn't geting any spark? i wonder if the bike would turn over without a spark by the spark plug. I was under the impression that it would only turn over if there is spark at the sparkplug. Can anyone confirm this?

Nope. You will have to check for spark at the plug. MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO GAS VAPORS!

Ok, I'm making an assumption here...you didn't answer the question as to whether it ran before the cdi change or not. I'm now assuming it did... (did it???) The next most likely culprit is that you put the wire back in the wrong spot... In the cdi plug, there are 4 spaces in one plug and 2 in the other. Most cdis only have 3 wires in the 4 position plug. Orange, red/white, and green. If it was the green wire, by chance, you had a choice of 2 spots to put it back to. If you move it over (or even if it was one of the others) to the empty spot, that may solve the spark problem.

How did you fix that wire that pulled out? If it is not making good electrical contact, it isn't going to work. The fact that it turns over does not assure a spark; an open or short in the ignition circuit will prevent a spark, but will not affect power to the starter motor.

Yes, the bike was running.
Well, initially it just came out whole from the "male". But it never fully came out! so i just pushed it back in where it was already. i'm going to have to check the spark plug. where is the spark plug on the Gy6 motors? is it that thing on the bottom side?
By the way, i made things even worse by pulling out the wire that we're talking about from the metal end yesterday as i was inspecting it. so now it's just the copper wire and the metal end is stuck in the "male". sh!t!
I really suck at this! Now i cant pull out the metal end from the "male" so the wire that we're talking about is all frayed at the end. Now we're back to sware -1

well i personall would make sure it has a better connection before I go on to other suggestions. Sounds to me that if you have done nothing else to the scooter, then fixing the connection of this wire would be the first thing I do.
