Good day all.
I changed the oil in the scoot last night with Mobil 1 syn 10w-30. I rode the bike 15 miles to work this a.m. and boy I noticed a difference.
Engine runs a lot smoother. Got the idea to run syn in the scoot from this site....thanks guys.

Synth oil provides better lubrication....period. There is some debate about whether to put it in after full break-in or do it early. I tend to go conservative and get at least 600-800 miles on the engine first. I doubt it really matters. Some new cars come with synth right off the truck.

yeah Dawg...there's considerable dabate on the issue. The Hemi doesn't have Syn in it, but I've been thinking about it. The forum I participate in for the truck has debated the issue many times.
The boat has a GM 350 small block v-8 in it and it's run syn since break in.
I guess I decided it couldn't hurt the scoot and after reading all the input on this site, I gave it a go. I've got about 700 miles on it so far.
This site is cool btw.

You won't find a single passenger Jet airliner using anything except syn oil. Why? Not only is it superior in lubrication at all tmeps and altitudes, but lose an engine and kill 100+ people. Turbine engines operate at greater temp extremes, why use dino oil at all?
I used to work for America West in the 90's. We had an engine on a 757 stay on wing for a record time (7 1/2 round trips to the moon equivalent), all our vehicles have Mobile-1, 2 wheels or 4.

arnt the engines supposted to stay on the wing? They get swapped out when time for a major overhaul. The converse is that many Russian turbo-fans only get 1-2000 hours.
