Being new to the scooter world, I was planning to buy a retro style scoot (Baron VLA, Verucci Retro ect.) But now I have discovered the Strada RX200. It's got all the up grades that I wanted for the retro without hassles of figuring out all the exhaust and carb (jet) combos. Has anybody had experience with this scoot? Is the top speed a true 65MPH? I have a few miles of 70MPH speed limit roads that I would like to travel without being run over. Please help with your comments!

12string...there is plenty of info on the RX200hp around...try stradascooter.blogspot.com he has a blog about his RX200hp. Or you could look on www.scooterbbs.com/ Also you can search this board and find plenty of info. I know Dawg was looking into testing one for PSF but that might be on hold right now...Dawg will have to speak to that. The RX200hp is a great bike from my research...this is the bike I'm going to get once the new one is here...any day now. PSF has a new load of them with lots of upgrades and now that PSF has a 2yr/3yr warranty that really makes the bikes appealing for the price. Anyway I'm good luck...

Exactly...If I can't find one in my area I will most likely buy from John at ValleyScooter... www.scootersus.com/index.html. He will match prices and he personaly responds to emails...which is nice. I called him last weekend and they didn't have the new shipment in yet...however you never know when they will arrive....the RX200hp that is.

Whew! I try to answer all my emails, but I"m sure some slip through the cracks. You won't be able to purchase the scoot directly from PSF. They wholesale to dealers. I highly recommend John D. at Valley Scooters.

Yeah that was my responce to 12string... John seems like a good guy and haven't heard anything bad about him...
however about the new 200hp...have you seen a picture of the new ones? I have seen a site post one called RX200hp Carbon...but haven't seen anything on PSF or anyones site for that matter...would love to hear ALL the news things on the new and improved RX200hp...what do you know Lee?

All I know about the Carbon is that I'm told it's selling like crazy, comes with 58mm head and is oil cooled. Alan says it's a really well built and strong running machine. Here is a pic.

12 String, You must order from a Florida Dealer or a dealer who is licensed in FL or they will not register or title your scoot, dawg. On a side note, Tampa in the House! I was born in Tampa and wish I could move back from St. Augustine! K

Oh, and what ever you do, DO NOT ORDER FROM Solano Cycle in St. Augustine! They half-ass dealer prep everything and their mechanics couldn't fix a hole in the wall. Take my word for it! I found out the hard way.

Man, that's not cool. What gives? I know Baron owners that bought on line, out of state, and they had no problems registering their scoot.

12 string, John Dikov is the one who told me that. I was going to buy a tank from him (thank god I didn't get a tank) and he told me. I have only had experience with Solano and I tell everyone I meet don't buy from them. K

Hey 12.... Check with your DMV. I think there is some misunderstanding. If you buy from a FL dealer, they must be licensed but I think you can buy internet no problem, as long as it comes with proper certifications....which the Strada would.

12 String, You must order from a Florida Dealer or a dealer who is licensed in FL or they will not register or title your scoot, dawg. K Might also be where you're trying to register it. My dealer can barely get any scooter titled, and she's on the east side of the valley, on the flipside, I've had no problems titling with an MCO, and yet, state law says that you must have a license to sell in AZ, and licensed dealers must do the titling for the customers. West side don't care so long as they get your money and get you out of there, east side's actually following the rules. Perhaps you're seeing the same thing, some offices are being ball busters, either 'cause its the law, or 'cause they can.
