Well, i've finally decided to go with a new Intake and Exhaust for the Scoot!
I ordered a bigger main jet as well to compensate with the increased fuel needs.
I recieved the Main Jet before i did the exhaust so i decided hell, i'll try and install it. I've never worked on carburators before so i figured i'd learn as i went.
After taking the carb off the motor itself i just could not find where the mian Jet would go??? I looked and looked, but nothing.. So i put the carb back on and tidied up shop until i got some more info.
So my question... where is the mian jet on the GY6 24mm Carb??
Also, from my extensive research and other posting i've decided to go with a 128 Main Jet, is this to much? I am at Sea Level.
Thanks!!

To change the jet, you need to flip the carb over. Depending on your carb there will be three or four screws attaching the bowl to the rest of the carb. Those screws are easy to strip, so make sure you use the right size (and good condition) screwdriver. Remove the bowl and the jets are right inside. 128 may be a little large. I'm at a 120. Keep a towel handy, you are going to spill a little fuel.

Thanks Dawg... I actually found a nice diagram from Oregon Vintage that explains it all with pictures!! so 120 on the main jet eh? do i have to change the Idle Jet as well? if so what are you using? here's the diagram just in case someone in the future does a search and needs the link www.oregonvintage.com/Carburetor.pdf

I didn't change the idle jet since I have a larger carb that already has a larger idle jet. To be honest, I don't even know what size is stock in your carb. Maybe Stan can help you out with the info. He's the man.

alright dudes,
it seems as if a 38mm Pilot Jet as well as a 120mm Main jet is generally a good combination if you plan on richening up your fuel mixture a bit to compensate for an exhaust and intake combination.
