Hi,
As most of the new scooter owner, I also am very excited when I received mine. I've been reading on some scooter forums and asking help since I can't make it to start. I've done everything (standard start up procedure) and all the nice guys suggested to make it work but we run out of ideas. Well, it looks like a spark issue since nothing coming out of the plug at all when we tested it. It could probably be the coil since I've just replace the plug. I've been trying to contact my dealer but hopefully be able to get hold of them. It's hard though.
Well, I just want to share my frustration since I'm so eager and excited to ride this one. Where else should I turn to. Once I get my MCO I still plan to register it so that once it's fixed, I will post every details I've come across of owning this scoot.
Thanks for reading.

Hey Rey, try checking to make sure your coil with is plugged in. Also check that the connection on the CDI is firm. If that gets you nowhere, try replacing the coil wire. If you aren't getting spark, likely culprits are the coil or the CDI. Coil is cheaper to try first.

Thanks Lee,
I'll try contacting my dealer if they could send me replacements since it's still under warranty.

You can check the resistance in the pick up coil to determine if it is bad.
To check the pickup coil, disconnect the pickup coil coupler from the wire harness. The wires are gray and black. (May be different on your bike) Connect a ohm meter or pocket tester (set on ohms x 100) to the terminals, + goes on gray and - on black. The resistance should be between 182 to 222 ohms. Normally a coil will not short so the resistance will be almost infinite which means it is open. So if it is well below this or greatly higher the coil needs to be replaced.

Jacine,
Thanks for the reply. I will buy a tester today and if coil is defective, when can I buy this type of coil? Is is available in any auto parts dealer(Kragen, Napa parts, etc)?
Thanks,

Woohooo, just spoke to Michael of Scootertronics today, such a wonderful guy, he said that it's probably the coil since some verucci buyer had the same problem as mine and he's shipping the coil and my free helmet today:). Hoping to get this scoot running and enjoy the sun.
