I have been very interested in the Baron 150r. I have posted this question on ScooterBBS as well as Barons group.
What is the top wot-speed of this scooter? What is the average speed I can expect for slight up hills and flow of traffic.
My Zuma goes 40 on flat ground with my 225 wind stopping butt on it now, what am I getting for the 100cc's?
I know the Zuma is 2 stroke and they traditionally are faster the 4's, but I am wrong to think this way?
Is there another well supported 150cc that has better speed. I like the retro style, but I am not married to it.

Hi Marty, and welcome. Top end for that scooter is going to be somewhere between 50-60 mph. Most of them are 53-54 mph but no two scoots will be the same. Slight hills won't set you back much at all. I think you will find that it keeps up with city traffic quite nicely. Hope that helps.

Hi Lee, thanks. That does help. I appreciate your help when I emailed as well.
Have you been on a Baron R? I know you said you are a pretty big guy, I am 6'5", will it be able to carry be and a passenger behind?

I've never been on one but I've looked at them. The seat configuration is pretty good for a big guy but scooters are just small by nature. It's not going to be real comfy for a 6'5 guy to be riding a passenger on any scooter. I will tell you that I've seen this particular model in a repair shop. They seem to have problems with little crap falling apart. Kinda like a Chevy. Last time I bought a new Chevy, mirror fell off the windshield........

Well then is this the best buy I could get...I know I talked to you about this before...but my memory is getting bad 42 going on 82.
I have been concerned about the geelys, stradas, vento's and UM's. Is one of those better then then Retro at the 1500.00 price point?

I see just over 55mph on flats. I was getting about 40mph out of the Zuma.
