HAHAHA!! With that name I would question it. Google for complaints and or lawsuits and if they belong to the BBB what rating they have. Lefty

I know...It is funny. haa...I thought you guys would get a kick out of that....kinda like going to "Dr. Payne" They have a great price on the TBX 260, but they charge 279.00 for shipping...out of Ca. For 100.00 more, I could Get one from Valley with shipping included, however, Their shipping policy charges 60.00 more for a liftgate. Which I could avoid if its sent to my work I could just use the forklift to unload it.

My dentist for most of my life was a Dr. 'Killian', I still hate going. He's very good and friendly, but I just hate going to the dentist.

You can avoid liftgate service if you are pretty strong, i can squat, bench , and clean and jerk a 250cc scooter myself.
With one more guy helping you there is no need for the lift gate truck. lest it is not coming to your home.

I put an order from mrscooters.com earlier this week. Helpful guy on the phone. I am now concerned as the mrscooters.com website is off-line, although dirtyatvs still seems to work. I should have been more leary at a business that uses MagicJack for its telephone service needs. I have not received a call or e-mail update, although I have left voicemails and sent emails.

BUMMER!! That does not sound good at all. You know what you can try is IF they have a sales number try that. They may answer if it is a sales call.
Also they may have a system setup for trouble in river city, and they have your phone number flagged. Try calling from a different phone number. Lefty

I was shocked to get a call back from the guy.He said he had to go with another shipper and it should be shipped today or tomorrow at the latest. I told him if everything goes smoothly I 've got a bunch of business for him. He seemed excited about the extra business so hopefully everything will be good. There are loads of people around here looking for scooters so he would be foolish to screw me on this deal. My friends are waiting to see how my deal goes before pulling the trigger. I will also endorse his business on here as well.

During the last gas hike alot of people bought from mrscooter. He shipped promptly and most were happy with him. I think he was brokering for a scooter warehouse. He even dropped in for a visit occasionally. He had the least expensive scoots on the planet, then he wised up. Him and his wife are Asian descent if I remember. Unless things have changed, he should do you right.
I just checked out mrscooters website. It is different than his old website. He is in Cali. now instead of Las Vegas. I'm thinking the Cali. address is the warehouse, as he never had an actual store in Vegas. His prices are still reasonable it seems. And I am not affiliated with him. When I bought from ATV Discounters, i could have kicked myself in the a$$ for not ordering from mrscooters. ATV took two months to ship from Cali. to N.M. But, my scoot had that right off of the boat smell. Ahh!

Scootdudeman...mrscooters.com is now up and running, but I haven't heard anything back about my deal. Let us know if your deal goes through OK - we are dealing with the same folks (dirtyatvs and mrscooters have the same phone number, etc). Maybe just a tad late on their web bill???

I sure will moe. When I get the scoot I will try to video everything and youtube it.
I checked his business on BBB and 8 of the 10 complaints were listed as shipping issues. He said he changed to Vision Express as his shipping company and has not had any issues at all. He said Vision Express DOES NOT stack ship, he said when people have probs with damaged scooters from shipping it's b/c they stack the scooters on top of one another which can cause damage.
He assured me that if I get any damage from shipping that he will take care of it. He sounded genuine and very helpful.
As far as running his biz from a magic jack, I use one too to keep the expenses down and it works great. I don't see anything wrong with that.

The only odd query I have about MrScooters.com (or DirtyATVs.com) specifically is how they are able to handle the "NEW 2010 Year Model" when every other site is still handling 2008's. And how this unit - seems to be the exact same unit as above. - You could even omit the 'seems to be' as the photos are of the same bike. Finally, anyone else notice there is no mention of the term of any 'warranty' on their site in reference to their scooters? Just a blanket - return policy. Scootdudeman and Dragzilla - be sure to post back with your outcomes. This is one thread I will be following closely as I am in the final days before I order. Looking at a 250, as my cage was donated to my daughter for the next 3 months, so I can get to-and-from work.. although I don't want to be restricted to local roads - the GSP can get you around quick in NJ.

I asked him about the warranty. 90 days on parts and 2 yr on the motor. He told me to contact BMS if I want to check to make sure he is an authorized BMS dealer, he stated he is. They say BMS is strict about who they allow to be dealers and customer service is very important to them. They will drop a dealer in a heartbeat if the dealer is not adhering to BMS's quality standards.
Some other BMS dealers also offer only 90 days warranty on parts , I believe that is standard. Some dealers give you the option to pay to extend the parts warranty for up to a year.

Look at the bright side of it, chinese scooter parts are very cheap, and there are tons of sites selling them, you dont need a exstended warranty.

We do not charge $60 for liftgate. It says on every page of our website that shipping is included in our price and covers residential delivery with free liftgate service. Look at the home page www.scootersus.comAlso remember that we will price match anybody for the same product with the same warranty and we can also do Scoot Dawg discounts. I finally received a 'status update' from mrscooters.com showing my scoot has shipped - order was placed over a week ago. Never did receive a call or email back from them. The tracking number seems to jive with the shipper (Southwest?), which shows 'in transit.' I will anxiously await a call from them and see what I got...

moe and asiny
that was another oddity of mrscooters. you place your order, hear nothing, get frustrated, and shazaam your scooter is sitting on a truck outside of your house. weird way to do business, but i'd order from him if i was in the market.

GREATEST QUOTE EVER! I agree, it is not the way to do business - it especially gives me a 2nd thought on IF something is wrong upon delivery or if I ever need to enforce the warranty.... will I ever get in touch with anyone?

The more I think about this guy the more I remember. Here's another good one. He would give a further discount if you sent him a certified check. He kept saying his credit card machine wasn't working properly. This scared a lot of people off, but the ones who sent checks received there scoots in record time. If I remember, he was good on warranty. You had to send him the defective part and he would warranty no problem.
I don't know how far back the archives go on Scoot Dawg, do a search on Mrscooters and see if anything comes up. He was pretty active here three years ago, and alot of things could have changed. Like I said, his website is more modern than it used to be. Good luck wherever you purchase, and remember, it takes time. We are an impatient species and want things yesterday. I bought two online, from probably two of the slowest outfits online. I think I aged a year waiting lol.

BobbyB - thanks for that info.. definitely makes me more 'at ease' with this. And for those who are interested, when doing a search - search for mrscooter (the original threads posted omitting the s). Very interesting read. BIG THANKS - or is it referred to as a bone - to BobbyB after his directing me to a thread from 2008. I placed my order for this unit - despite never speaking with them, nor getting an eMail response to any initial questions - the thread really made it feel worth putting in the order.... ...time will now tell

My wife rides a silver scoot like the one you ordered. Same engine. She's at 6,000 miles on the odo. and loves the s!!t out of it. I hope you enjoy yours as well. PDI and valve stems and possibly a new vacuum fuel pump and you are ready to go. Don't order a vacuum fuel pump online. I found a Mikuni at a lawn mower shop for $20.

According to the shipping company's tracking feature on their website (Southwestern Motor Transport) my scoot from mrscooters is currently at some freight terminal in Chicago. Next leg of the journey up to me in MN. I'll post back when it gets here...anxious to hear about your delivery experience Asiny!

BobbyB, Moe4070 and other dawgs - Got a call from Mike (MrScooters.com, yesterday) that my selected colours were not available, only Silver. Before I committed for him to send I asked him what the Make of the bike was.... he was not sure - believes it was something beginning with an "M".
I told him I need to know the model before shipping as NJ has a list of 'approved' scooter manufacturers based on the WMI and if it is not on the list - then I would cancel and look for another unit. I also asked to confirm that this is a 2010 model (as listed on his website) - as most other sellers only offer 2008/09.
He said he would get back to me.... I am a very patient person.
Although, I will say, he was very courteous on the phone and did not seem offended by my queries. I definitely feel more at ease with this seller.

So I just got my return call from Mike (MrScooters.com) who advised me, again, the only colour they have is silver - I told him no problem with that. And he advised me the 1st three of the VIN or WMI are L8Y which, according to the approved list for New Jersey, lists the bike as Shanghai Shenke Motorcycle. He said the holiday weekend backed him up - for obvious reasons (I don't begrudge him on this one) - but he expects to ship out the bike today or tomorrow with an estimated delivery date (no later than) June 15th. So my clock is now ticking. Like most I feel like a kid knowing Christmas or my Birthday is almost here... but there is nothing I can do to make it faster ;D Once the unit arrives I will add one more update to this thread before I start a dedicated thread, like so many others, on the arrival/PDI and all the fun stuff I am hoping I am mechanically inclined to do
