I have noticed several posts where people are looking for a detailed Shop Manual on the GY6 engine. I just did a search on eBay using "gy6" and noticed what looked to be a very detailed 220 page Shop Manual for the 125, 150 and 175 GY6 engines. The seller had three pages shown that looked to be very detailed pictures. Lee78

Why would anybody want to pay for it when you can download it from my downloads page for free?

Pardon my ignorance ... but on your download page the manual states "Complete 50cc GY6 shop manual". Lee78 was referncing a a manual for 125-175cc. One might assume that there are differences so that might pay the extra. As this is the first time I have posted, let me also compliment you on your site. Cheers, LewTwo

Cheers, LewTwo Right you are LewTwo and I should be more specific. There are only three shop manuals floating around for GY6 that I am aware of. One is the free one on my downloads page. It was written for the 50cc but these engines are virtually identical except for some torque and valve adjust values. Those values can be obtained by purchasing my owner's manual.....or just by asking me if I'm in a good mood. The other two manuals are: a Vento manual which was "borrowed", changed around and copywrited dubiously by a guy who sells them. The other is available from MRP. A lot of it is stuff MRP "borrowed" from the other guy who "borrowed" it from Vento. The illustrations in both of those manuals are copied black and white photos that you just can't see. The free manual has great illustrations, as does my owner's manual.

It's on the downloads page at www.scootdawg.com . It's a huge file though, so even if you have high speed internet it's going to take some time. If you are on dial up do it overnight. If you want it on CD, hit me with a paypal for $10 to cover my time, materials and shipping and I'll send you one.
