You can always get a copy of the ticket and show it, every ticket is kept on their computer for the record so when you get stopped again they check if you had any previous violations.
There was another fellow that claimed 60mph on one of those. I had one in 2009 and sold it within three months because I could not keep up with traffic. They are good for 25-30mph streets because they will only do around 30mph. They are 4 strokes chain driven. You can order them with Pedals or without or with a Low and High gear that you change with your foot just like a motorcycle. You can get a little more top end out of them by changing the front sprocket with 1 or two more teeth and the Rear Sprocket with a few Less Teeth. The front sprocket is more work to put on a bigger sprocket due to the Case. You have to grind some metal off the engine case to fit a bigger front sprocket. And then you have to modify the cover to fit the bigger sprocket. Lefty
