a chinese scooter may or may not suck. thats a good lookin one though. pdi and maintenance and there is no reason it shouldnt be well worth your 500 bucks.

Welcome Nice scooters. Its great to ride with your better half. We have been doing it (riding) for over 40 years. Check out any paper work, owners manual to see what you have. You can do a internet search using the name of the scooter to find out more. Of course I consider this forum to be one of the best with some really help full people.

i had a baja sc50 (Chinese made) and looks almost the same as the one you just bought just a 50cc and red. check for all restrictions in the system. the hoses should be ok because their new. but over time the hoses ( fuel and vacuum ) will start to degrade and cause gunk in the carb. chinese carbs aren't that great to begin with so that could be on the list as well.

Id check out scrappy dogs site. He has bunches of real good stuff. You can find youe carb there with a description about what it would work best with and what they recommend.
