ScooterDepot has a new tilting reverse trike that looks like the Piaggio MP3 trike. Wish it was a 250cc trike.

The site pictures show it tilting but the specs do not. Has anyone seen this reverse trike in real life? It looks cool. Is it really a tilting chassis?... or are they only showing the front suspension swing range in the photos? The real Can-Am is not tilting.

These youtube videos (3) show the assembly steps for one of these trikes. The video was posted by Sunny Motorsports. www.youtube.com/watch?v=TnLs6GTEPs4&feature=relatedIn the third video, the guy "demostrates" the leaning capability of the scooter. It clearly allows leaning into turns. It also is equipped with a locking lever to lock it upright -- the speed is also governed when this lever is engaged to prevent you, I assume, from going so fast you could tip over, etc.

I just ordered one from Motobuys.com and joined the forum to learn. I love the video on how it turns like a MP3 but is more stable for my retired Butt! I have a Spyder Can am and this 150 cc Sunny will be for the Backwoods and secondary roads . I hear the Prodigy Variator and probably 2 gram lighter than stock pully weights is a Great place to start???

Will ship to CT about 30 Jun- I Can,t wait!!!!!!!!!!

I have memorized the 3 Uncrating video,s! Will take my time and change fluids , check ALL bolts, nuts and electrical before I ride! I Love the Sport look and the amount of lights and its only a foot shorter and 8 inches narrower than my Spyder Can am. (It won,t do 0-60 in 4.5 seconds ) BUT the leaning attracted me to it. Hopefully ships next week, Most seem sold till the next August shipment. Will do a FULL write up and video after I have some time on it

Hello friends, I'm brand new to this forum and I saw this thread talking about the reverse trikes. I just baught a Sunny 300cc reverse trike and I love the heck out of it,It has bunchs of storage and it has a deep throaty sound when you fire it up. This thing handles nothing like a rear wheel trike, the handling is much much more nimble than a trikeor a 2 wheel bike. You can lean it to a 40 degree angle or more without tipping it over. You kinda have to resist putting your foot down on tight turns until you realize that you don't need too,It's fantastic for anyone with weaknes in the arms or shoulders from surgery wich was my case, yes the wheels tilt in the turns but you don't turn with them unless you are going at a crawl,if you try to turn with the wheels at higher speeds in stead of tilting you will find yourself in a bad situation. This bike has power to burn off the line,it's not like some cvt trans that I've driven in the past. I'm still in the break in period right now and I can't tell you about how it handle at highway speeds YET but I surely will as soon as I get there. I can say that so far..no rattles or vibrations and I have to keep the throttle down because this thing wants to run. I hope this helps answer some questions that yall had and I'm exited to be part of your group here. daddue11. peace friends.

Thanks for the info on the 300 cc version (and welcome to the group). I've got a 150 cc that I love, but I've always wondered how the 300 rides. Let me know how fast it'll go (after you get it broken in).... my 150 tops out about 50, but it's redlined when it does so I hate to go much more than 45.

Welcome daddue11. I also have the 150 Sunny, and it is fun, and a conversation starter almost anywhere it goes. Like mnfitz, I find it underpowered, so it is strictly an in-town machine, but that is what I bought it to be. I also find the best cruising speed for mine to be about 45mph. The speedo on mine is very optimistic, but the odometer seems dead-on, so I know how far I have been, but not how fast I get there... ;D You might check this, and allow for it. I ended up bungee-cording my portable GPS to the mirror stem, and using a marker to mark 30, 40, and 50 mph, and applying little 1/2" pieces of white 3/16" pinstriping tape at those marks. After break-in, mine topped out at 56 mph by the GPS, flat road and no wind, but it sounded VERY busy, so 45 is the usual top. Keep us posted.

I discovered a disconcerting quirk in the handling of these the other day. If you lean into a sharp turn until you hit the lean stop (45 deg?) it'll start wanting to take the turn wider than you evidently intended based on the lean angle attempted. It can be forced tighter, but the nice easy "automatic" front wheel movement isn't there. Scared the crap out of me the first time it happened on a tight traffic circle I was on. Something to take out to an empty parking lot to see how it feels!

Yes, it is one of those things different with three wheels and two - you will come to expect it, and it will just become second nature, but it is a bit unsettling at first. I had a wide-eye moment on my first ride when I rode up to a gas pump island, and barely missed the concrete island with the front wheel; I was used to riding up a bit closer to the pump on the two-wheelers... ;D
