Middle of December, but the temp is about 50 degrees, and it's bright and sunny. But tomorrow it's supposed to turn very cold with snow and rain. I'm at my local (big) county park.......you'd think there would be scooters, cycles, bicycles, joggers, all sorts of people out here, getting in some recreation on maybe the last good day of the year. Well yeah the green of summer is gone, the leaves are mostly down.....but it's still the same (nice) place. But the place was deserted at noon. I saw a few park employees mulching leaves, one guy walking his dog, two joggers......that's it. Worse, no scooters at all. What's the deal? For taking pictures this was a fine day......too bad more people didn't take advantage of a great day in the park.

Everyone is out looking for Christmas presents or working to pay for them. It's a shame more people don't take time out to enjoy the simple pleasures of life, Bravo Blue!!!!

^^^Could be, but it still puzzles me why this county park clears out in cool weather. The great views of the Mississippi are still the same. All the historical stuff remains (this was the home of the Missouri National Guard in pre-Civil war times, and still is). There are numerous fields for soccer, football, etc. There will be more people here on a typical winter week-end......but still.

It seems people are just to busy for recreation these days. Or, it maybe that folks are spending time at home with there families during the holiday season. (always a good thing) Anyway, great pics of what seems to be a great ride. Enjoy the ride before it gets to cold!!

Here you go 36 hours after those pictures were taken...... It has rained for over 24 hours, dropped from 52 degrees down to the current 18 degrees......the rain has turned into icy road surfaces, and it's now snowing, with more to come. I'm not leaving the house......the only thing moving in the park today will be tree branches in the wind. The people who missed the great day in the park on Friday, can look out their windows today and cry about it.

Yeah it has a side-stand....I just don't use the thing very often. I find side-stands to be much less safer to use than the center stand, particularly on this scoot. The stand needs to be maybe an inch longer to be more stable. (leans over too far) I've been trying to find something suitable to weld on the bottom of the current stand. There is one place selling something they call a "big-foot" or similar. It screws on but doesn't look thick enough to help my situation. Update.....at 6AM on Monday the temperature is now 6 degrees. No scooter pictures in the park today from me, or anybody else.
