Anybody know of an aftermarket performance exhaust for the IB 300 trike? I'm at the point I'm considering welding my own from a supertrapp muffler. Really prefer something stainless. Can't seem to get any of the performance dealers to respond. I suspect because they have no clue what kind of scooter this is. Anyone know where I might have some luck?? thx

i am on the market for a 300cc compeller and asked at the ib place here about a better muffler as I need something quieter. H e said would have to modify something that he had not don it before!!!!
am wondering if I really want one of these trikes or not, can't find anyone to talk to them about

Lee,
No one has made a performance muffler and pipe for the trikes yet, that I am aware of. The muffler isn't the issue it is the pipe and the bends it has and it's lenght. A standard 250/300 Linhai pipe will not work. I am still trying to locate something.
Mike,
I would be happy to talk to you about a compeller. Please feel free to contact me during normal business hours, M-F 8-5 and Sat 8-noon Central Time. Email if you like. Contact page is on my site.

Ok Jim thx...I'll probably just fabricate my own. Jim ironically the stock pipe is really nothing special. It has one major turn a 90 degree that bends straight down towards the ground. But at stationary idle the exhaust still collects up under the trike so I don't see that as a big issue. I thought about taking an MRP pipe and modifying it but if I'm going to spend that kind of money and then modify it I might as well do it myself. Mike I can't speak for the Compeller but the 300 Magnum has been great and I really enjoy it.

I am leaning to wards the magnum as it should have a better ride, softer. also now bigger tires, and just the fact they have made mods is good. i just wish someone close had done a couple pdis on one so i could order local.
I called jim at rapid r, I may just have him ship it here and go for it. He may get a lot of calls,ha ha Will probably call him end next week and order a gray magnum 300

Well Mike I goota tell you I like mine. I've learned a whole lot about this trike since I've owned it. Lot of things could be improved but for what you pay and there is nothing better looking in the scooter trike arena. If you have basic mechanical skills it's an easy think to work on.

sounds good Lee, have you gone any distance yet. What is is the most you ride in a day? I know it is cold there now, I have family in Ft Smith area, may ride the IB up that way this summer never know. Parts are every were so I hear, only the trike section is different.
I just got over the flu and will start making room to put the IB in the carport so I can do pdi and replace nuts bolts what ever you all have had an issue with. I have a 2000 Chrysler Global Electrit Motor car, NEV low speed, street legal coool car/truck I need to get cleaned up and sell it for new toy room.
