I know the batery is 12volt but what is the amperage ? There isn't info on the battery (orignal) and none in the booklet that came with the trike. My voltage regulator is kaput and I'm running on the battery alone. I need a back-up battery. Info please. Without knowing the amperage I'm afraid of burning something up.

I think from what I found out most are 7 - 8amps I however got a lawnmower battery for my last scooter and it worked better then the stock ones. You loose some space but it last better (in my op) Hope this helps.

Idabill, You also want to get one that will fit with the highest Cranking Power, something in the 200CCA (Cold Cranking Power). Measure the space that the battery fits in and get one close to those dimensions. Alleyoop

The stock battery for a 300 Magnum is a YTX 12 BS which is a 12 amp battery. Which crosses to an Interstate Battery CYTX12-BS 12 volt 180 Cold Cranking Amps.
