Good afternoon, I am putting a radio on my Icebear trike 150-9. I need to know the color code for installing the battery wire and the ignition hot wire. I tried a couple of times but when I turned on the key it killed the radio. Any ideas??? Any one done this before? Thanks Triker98304

Standard radio wiring, Red wire to the ignition switch, Yellow wire to the battery positive, and Black wire to ground. Keep in mind that radios with memory and/or clocks will draw power from the battery when the machine is turned off. One solution to this is to add a switch between the Red wire and the ignition switch, so you can turn it complety off when letting the machine sit for a long period.

At the ignition switch, find the wire that has power only with the key in the run position, usually black, but use a test light to be sure. That is where the Yellow from the radio goes. Radio Red directly to battery, Radio Black directly to ground.
