Is there anybody, anyone, somebody know where a person can get a manual for the ib 300 Magnum? Anybody have an address to write to or call to get a manual ? Is the 300cc very different from a 250cc ? would the location of the parts on the motor be the same ? Would any parts be interchangeable ? Would apperciate any info. Its great fun, when it runs.....idabill..

I have yet to see a manual for ANY of the Trikes. What they send you is a manual which is useless for a TWO WHEELER. Don't forget the Trikes were made out of TWO WHEELERS. What they do is make the Swing Arm to accept mounting the Rear Axle with the Two Wheels. If you look under your trike you will see the rest of the Frame still has the Parts and Mountings that were for the TWO WHEELER.
But they are the same as just about any other Scoot Except for the Rear End. Everything else is just like any other Scooter. So don't get scared about anything on them they all are pretty much sameo sameo as a TWO WHEELER. Alleyoop

Thanks Ally Oop....I thin k my trouble is the alternator or voltage regulater. On a 30/40 mile ride the battery slowly drains down and it won't start. I'm charging now, going for a short ride and taking the meter with me if after 10 miles the battery isn't all the way up...I'm comming home. will keep you up=dated. idabill.

Ice Bear is in the process of making a manual for their trikes but it will be awhile. As alley already said, the main bike is the same as a Scooter with a 250 Linhai motor, except for the bore. So there are a lot of parts available for the motor for upgrades. Use your meter and check the battery voltage while it is running above idle it should be 13.2 to 13.8 volts

Well gentlemen, just came in from the IB 300 problem. Jim I had the battery fully charged 12 volts. Then I hooked the meter up to the battery and it started right up. BUT...the meter needle did not move when I held the throttle open like you said. I had it reve'd up enough to where it wanted to move. So does that leave the voltage regulator or alternator as the problem ? Thanks again for your help......idabill...

Idabill, Sure appears to be the problem, unless there is a wire that came off which goes to the battery to charge it. Alleyoop

Check and make sure the voltage regulator is plugged in, sometimes they come loose during shipping. If so, then unplug the stator and start the trike and check each wire on the plug for voltage, the black lead of your meter should be on chassis ground as you do.
Get with the dealer you bought it from if it is still under warranty.

I do not believe Ice Bear is in the process of making a manual for the Trikes. I asked for a manual Last June after I recieved the two Trikes and they told me the same thing. I also asked for an electrical diagram and same thing we are working on one. It now has been over a year and no manuals. Heck they cannot even tell you what the timeing should be on the engines. I would think it would be a piece of cake getting the information from the Engine Manufactuer, they put them together and time them? So on most of the questions we have I think we are on our own. Imagine them asking me How I fixed my Gas Guage and would I send pictures(which I did). I also drew pictures for their Rear Axle and a possible way to fix the Axle from moving out and sending it to them. Their feeble attempt to fix the problem was to put a floating ring held by two screws about 6" on each side of the Half Axle Tubes and weld a piece of pipe onto the axle itself so that the Axle would stop coming out to far. So unless the Importer gets on the manufactuers case to correct some of the problems things will take longer to correct. A good example is the CHEAP PLASTIC Air Filter, now that is really a joke. They even CUT a SLIT about 2" by 1/4 to allow more air in on the rubber part that connects to the carb. The the problem is It is after the FOAM FILTER which is also a joke, so nothing is being filtered The Plastic Filter housing will start to break apart and it will just fall out, I know mine already did and so did my Brother-in laws. The other main headache is the Riveted Muffler cover. It will last oh about 2-3 months and the rivets start to come loose and finally fall out and the muffler is leaking in front and back all around the cover. Then the baffles break inside and you have a nice tinking sound and if it happens to land just right it plugs up your exhaust, you will know due to loudness and or muffled sound. But all in all I like the Trikes and I am lucky I am mechanicall inclined otherwise I would be in trouble and dishing out a lot of coins getting things fixed. So if your not a handy wrencher or do not have a Mechanic that will work on them you will be disappointed. Alleyoop

Rapid Jim, Is the motor on the IB Magnum 300 a Linhai motor ? Or something else ? I have to have all the work done for me as #1 I'm not a mechanic and #2 I'm to old to do all the bending and stooping required. But all that aside I'm changing mechanics. But would like to know what motor is in this beast..idabill

ONE MORE TIME !...Clould a person use a manual for a Linhai 250cc to check wireing and parts on the IB 300cc magnum ? I have my trike in a shop now and the young man sems pretty savy. I have three shops turn me down because there is no manual or schematic for the 300. If we come up with a solution I will let you know for sure...idabill...

There will be differences in the wiring if the 250cc does not have a digital dash. Otherwise it should be really close. Have to use your head when comparing, but the wiring is straight forward, not rocket science. I work on all kinds of basic wiring issues in cars, trucks, boats, atvs, scooters, ect without specific diagrams. Unless I am dealing with computer controls they are all set up pretty much the same. BTW the wiring diagram I got from Ice Bear is nothing more than a flow chart, fairly useless.
