Hi all, I just opened the cvt cover to measure the belt. I have searched for a new belt for a couple days to replace the Kymco People 250's OEM belt (Mitsuboshi 23100-LLJ3-9000) but not having success so I opened the cvt to measure. The People 250 or 250S or 250 Xciting are using the SAME OEM belt. Some suggest 894x23x30 (Gates PL-30904) or 906x22x30 (Gates PL-30808). The OEM that I measured were Kymco part # (23100-LLJ3-E00). Brand: Mitsuboshi (Japanese's made/manufacturer) Part #: 23100-LLJ3-9000 stamped on the belt. Length or Circumference =39.5 inches = 1003.3 mm Width = 7/8-15/16 inch = 22.23 - 23.8 mm. Note: My scooter is now at 10500Km = 6524 Miles. The Length may have stretched some and the Width may have worn a bit. So None of the Gates above would fit the Kymco People 250/S or Xciting model. I didn't open the variator to measure the roller weights yet but from what I knew is the Grandvista 250 model has 23x18 with 20.5gram each. I'll keep searching to see if anything. Edit: This is the closest belt that I saw. 1000x24.2x30. 28$, but Out of Stock www.gokartsusastore.com/SPD/n-mp-03478k--80000C76-1189805451.jspScooterdynaster has (995 X 24 X 12) but 130$?...2x than the OEM price. www.scooterdynasty.com/beltkevlarathenaforkymcoscooters.aspxAnhoa

kz,
Grandvista belt is not the same as People/Xciting belt. Grandvista is shorter in length (894mm). People/Xciting is 1000mm. I wish they have the same engine and same belt but they don't. The roller weight may be the same though. The People's oem is about 58$.

ce royalsupply's price = 39.43$ + 10.71$ shipping = 50.14$.... www.stadiumyamaha.com/pages/parts/viewbybrand/default.aspx has OEM belt 57.71$ + 10$ estimate for shipping = 67.71$. So for extra 17$, I rather get the OEM for sure. If it's 1/2 price difference between OEM and Gates/Bando/Goodyear, then I would go with Gates/Goodyear. Anhoa

Your belt that is the same belt that is used in my SYM Citycom marked as a Mitsuboshi 23100-LEA-0000. Good sleuth work there. A few months ago I searched and came up with nothing. I changed mine at 15000kms, but feel that it would've lasted 20 000kms easily as it is 23.4mm in width still. happy scooting Kiwiscoot PS wonder what other parts the Kymco People's and the SYM Citycom's share in common??

I just received 2 Bando 1626v395 belts from KSCdirect for 65$ total with shipping included. The width of the belt is 1/8 wider, and 1/2 inch longer. I won't install until next Spring. BTW, I just replaced the headlight bulb that blew (35w/35w H4 type 1 from Partsforscooter <--very fast shipping). FYI, The OEM bulb for Kymco People 250 is HS1 35w/35w, but the H4 type 1 from PFS works perfectly. Anhoa

Just be careful the 55w H4 does not melt the lens. There is a reason they are using 2X 35x rather than 2X 55W BTW, if you report success I will replace the 35/35 in my People S 200 with H4 55W so let us know.

I am not sure what the difference is between what they call TYPE 1 and TYPE 2, but in any case your bike takes a standard HS-1 bulb. It is a standard motorcycle bulb, available at just about any motorcycle or scooter shop. And the PEople S uses an AC light circuit, and they are QUITE bight, even in 35 watts.

I think that the 1626V384 belt is the one to get. That translates to
1 in W 39 ~ 39.1 in Outer Circumference 38.4 in is the Pitch length which is not the same as the OC
or in metric 25.4mm W 990 ~ 995 mm OC
this means that the belt is 1.4mm wider (longer wear) and 8 ~ 13 mm shorter (won't ride as high on the pulley)

The Kymco belt is a better quality belt.. Just keep that in mind when doing a change over..
