Hi, Just wanted to let everyone know I bought a 1995 Honda Nighthawk 750, with only 6006 miles, Saturday. Guy was asking $1950 but took $1700. Insurance is only $129 a year, it includes roadside assistance + comprehensive with only a $100 deductible. My Vog 260 is with the 'Big Guy' for repairs right now. But, I plan on keeping it when i get it back. Been busy but here are a few pictures of the new addition. Here are the shocks I removed them for sanding and repainting And here are the body panels I removed this evening I'm painting the bike YELLOW tomorrow for visibility.

You wont be back when you start riding the Hawk. Stop at walmart and get one of those forsale signs for your scoot. Heres a forum you might be interested in. www.nighthawk-forums.com/

LOL, by sunday night (only 2 days) I had already put 225 miles on it. thanks for the link zug zug. I noticed I get a lot more stares and waves on the nighthawk.
Anyone know if the 1157 18-SMD bulbs will fit in the turn signals? or What will cut the oxidation from cast aluminum wheels? They haven't been cleaned in years. I bought a spray bottle of RV black streak remover that works to some degree, but i'm looking for something that doesn't require so much scrubbing.
thanks -Justin

Well, I hope to keep scootin' once my Suzuki is running, just not sure how much...The two seem to offer very different advantages...time will tell.

Thanks for the feedback. I love the nighthawk more & more each day. I'm nearing 300 miles after just 4 days. Love the power it has to leave tailgaters in the dust. Didn't have time to paint it today, but i did buy the steel wool i need to do it right, I was a combo pack at Lowe's with 4 grade of roughness (only $3) Thought I had decided on a yellow but found a slightly darker/deeper yellow today at Lowe's. it's almost $4 a can, fairly cheap. Didn't plan on telling, but I had it up to 80 the 2nd day and 90 yesterday on the interstate but that's it for now until it's really necessary to go that fast. I sanded the shocks last night and this morning and they look almost like new. I'll post pics, of them cleaned up tomorrow. I'm about 145lbs and it handles fine, can't believe i was worried about a 500 lb bike. well, 463 dry. I plan on adding a centerstand for servicing the Hawk. And I'm just going to use a backpack for gear. Don't need a windshield neither. I have a full face helmet that works fine at 70-75mph. Later -Justin

#0000 steel wool works good for removing rust from chrome. If you use any thats more aggressive it will scratch the chrome.
Most of the aluminum on motorcycles have a clear coat on them. The best thing is to either just do a good scrub/wash and leave it alone or remove the clear coat and polish. Or you can just sand it and paint. The stock signals/lights use 1156/1157 bulbs.

Don't be too quick to judge about that. My Dad used to say riding without a windshield felt like someone was trying to push you off the back of the bike. I didn't believe him until I got my first one and have put them on all my bikes since. Even a short street shield relieves the stress on your arms when you ride all day.

Amen on the windscreen, it really changes your ride. If you are doing any distances or sustained high speeds you will really tell the difference when you get off the bike and still feel fresh! Say nothing of the rain you will deal with once in a while
