Hi David,
I originally started that forum as a local site for the New Orleans scooter scene after thescooterreview got washed away in Hurricane Katrina - that was a big setback, since tsr had thousands of good articles and reviews of about 85 different scooters. Well a lot of the locals signed up for the site and some personalities got in the way, so they drifted off to another forum.
The site grew as is the nature of the Internet, but very few members returned after their troubles were solved. This wasn't a big deal, but as you might not know, the board was a custom script that I had hosted on my server, not a freebie board, so it takes lots of maintenance to keep the hackers and spammers out every day - constantly updating the software and the firewall.
Further, and again as you might not know, I recently had some problems with two of my other businesses which required me to fire two key (related) management employees for some major theft. Both of these jobs are not easy to train another employee for, so I had to hire someone at the scooter store to take over my position so I could cover these other two.
So now I have to do both management jobs until I get over the hurt of the embezzlement from Mon-Sat, and then on Sun, after Church, I have to go to the scooter shop to bring all the paperwork up to date and do payroll. So I am literally working 7 days a week right now and don't have the time I used to in the past.
With the powerscooters forum being as slow as it was, and as much as it pains me, I can't find the time to maintain the back end right now. I can however, find a few minutes here and there to participate here. But it's worth it, because the discussion here is more friends helping friends instead of stragglers coming and going, so the rewards are much greater.
You might not see me posting all the time like I used to, but I am here every day in the background off and on...

Thanks David... I always keep my chin up and I know everything happens for a reason. All of the added work and responsibilities are taking its toll on these old bones though The best news is, I'm not sitting on my butt so I have come to realize I need to loose weight and work out again - 6lbs in 7 days so far! ;D -Rich
