Last Wednesday evening I took the Ice Bear out for a spin of about 5 miles, and it ran as well as it ever has. Friday evening when I started the Ice Bear up again, it would not idle, and when I raised it above idle, after a few minutes of running very rough it would flood out and die. I am quite sure it was flooded, because I could smell gas, and it would not restart for an hour or two. On Saturday or Sunday I tried it again, same thing, I pulled the poor excuse for a air filter off, no difference, run very poorly, smell rich, then flood out, and no idle, and would not restart. This evening I tried it again, it started right up, idled fine, so I took it out for a spin, no farther than I cared to push it home, just in case the problem returned. I rode for a total of about 1km, down to the corner and back a few times, no problems. The trike only has about 275km. Any ideas what was going on?. My best guess is the float was stuck. Your ideas are?

Yes it getting flooded, and since your in LA its probably does not need the Enricher. It could be the Enricher got stuck in the open position and with the warm weather it will flood out. I live in Chicago and I have an Ice Bear PST150H Trike and I can smell gas when I start it and it idles bad for about a minute. When you start it open up the throttle a little to let more air in that will at least help keep it running until the Enricher Extends out and closes the hole that is letting more gas in. You can compensate and Turn in the Air/Fuel Mixture screw to lean it out a little that may be enough to not flood out when the enricher is retracted. And you are correct about the POOR EXCUSE of an Air Filter, It looks pretty but what a joke:) I just took my enricher off and replaced it with a Manual Choke Conversion Kit. Now it starts and idle up to 1500 rpms and no gas smell. Here is what I put on so I control when I want and need more fuel when cold. Alleyoop

Nothing concerning your problem; sounds like you got the problem fixed anyway but just wanted to know how fast one of the 150cc will run. I want a three wheeler but I need something that will cruise at 65mph cause of the hwys I have to travel. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

ajaxdog, Well if you want to cruise at around 60-65 you will need to get the 300cc Trike. The 150s out of the crate will only do 50. With Racing Variator & Matching Fan and 11-12 gram weights it will do 55. As you can see on mine I put on 3" taller tires they are 205x65x10 Kenda Trailer tires they are 20.8 diameter and the OEM were 225x40x10 17.7 in diameter, now I can push 61-62mph, with 12Gram Sliders and a Racing Prodigy Variator at 7200-7300 rpms.
Right now its only running 58mph because I am lossing around 600 rpms that I cannot find what is causing the loss. Alleyoop

The Icebear Magnum 300cc cruises nicely at highway speeds. Also the PST250K (Y) yellow Spider CanAm is a sweet trike that really tuns heads. They are discounted $200.00 for the month of October at www.trikes4fun.com dealership. A (B&M) store. Email your questions about either one to Mike vanoyenautosales@sbcglobal.net. Hope that helps you!

Well, he is just being a good Dad, he is trying to get his son some business. I see that the 300cc he is asking 3,999.00 but that does not include PDI or Shipping. So is the $200.00 OFF the $3,999.00 price or is that the price minus the $200.00 discount. His site does not show prices for all he has you have to call for a quote which is always not a good sign. If he had such good prices he would post them and mention delivery charges or if the price includes shipping.
Jvanoyen - Suggest to your son to be more specific on the cost Details on his website. People will not bother to call in for a quote, that usually means the price is high or is hiding something right off the bat. Otherwise he would be PROUD to show the low prices and shipping and any warranty. I myself if asked to call for a quote throw it in the garbage and or skip that site. Alleyoop
