I'm trying to figure out how to get my wife, daughter and I to enjoy two wheels. Without a real bike and a sidecar, I'm not sure it can be done. The wife won't ride two wheels by herself so I'm trying to talk her into three. I was considering buying one of these scooter trikes that are coming out, but am cringing on the price (never thought I would say that about anything from China). And of course as with anything newly manufactured - quality control is an issue (I hear). After a little bit of research I have found that Trinity Trikes produces a quality conversion for Honda Rebels (and such other 250s). Those can usually be had by former beginners on Craigslist for around $1K with few miles on them. The kits can be had for @$4,500, bringing the cost to $5-6K. Just something I'm considering - but then I'd still have to teach the wife to shift (Dang It). Just thought I would share some thoughts I had.

Well if your mechanically inclined and you want something for around town or suburbs roads up to 55mph then the 150cc Trikes will work for you. For $5,000.00 dollars you can get TWO trikes shipped. If you want something for the highway 55-65 then you need something 250 and greater, and if your planning long trips on highway I would then say you need a 400-650 like a Burgman Scoot plus then the conversion kit will be At Least 4K. But now your talking big bucks. So it all depends on how you plan to use them and maybe a dealer near you would work on them for you. Alleyoop

I'm not sure these inexpensive trikes are a good idea. Many people seem to have trouble with them.
I suggest buying a good brand used scooter and having a trike kit installed. A Tow Pac kit costs about $3,400 to purchase. I have a Tow Pac installed on a Honda Silverwing 600. I needed something bigger for hwy riding. My Honda 250 Reflex and I get blown around too much on the hwy. But the Wing is much too big, too high and too heavy for me to ride. So the extra wheels solved my problem. Put almost 2000 miles on the Mod Quad, (the Wing) this summer. Very fast and stable on the hwy. Very good option.

I'm not sure these inexpensive trikes are a good idea. Many people seem to have trouble with them. There are also those that don't have any trouble at all. As with any scoot eventually you will have to get your hands dirty. Jim

Jim Question, There is a person that will be ordering a PST150H trike from you and said that it will not be shipped to you for setup and PDIed but instead dropped shipped to the final destination. Is there a reason for that? Thanks Alleyoop

Alley,
That is all up to the person ordering. I am more than happy to do the setup and PDI as I did for Marcia. The problem comes in when the customer does not want to come here to pick it up. Because of the size of the container, it numerous things would have to be taken back off for shipping, plus the cost of the additional shipping.
