After a too-long winter, it was time to take Big Red out and get some maintenance done so the wife can start riding with me. I went down to Mishi Powersports and was pleased to see them still servicing and selling. They got Big Red(Jonway YY250T) right in and changed the Oil and Gear Oil and got me right back on the road in about 30 minutes. My experience with them has been 2nd to None since my purchase on 6/15/2009 and I continue to recommend them for economical quality scooter transportation and service. www.mishipowersports.comPS-No, I don't work for them, just an extremely satisfied customer!

Yes they do have good service. I made the mistake in finding a cheaper scoot somewhere else, Dallas Powersports on Harry Hines. Saved myself $300 on an identical SUNL (LB150T) to the Jonway (YY150T) but when it wouldn't start they couldn't help. Took it to Mishi Powersports and they fixed it fast and well. I was then chided for going to Dallas Powersports 'cause they're always fixing things from Dallas Powersports (Awesome ATV on Ebay). If I had it all to do again, I'd have just bought the Jonway at Mishi.

I'll toss ya a bone for a lesson well-learned! Alot of dealers tend to only work on Chinese scooters they sell-if they even are willing to service what they sell. In the Chinese scoot market, Mishi is the exception in that they will repair scooters they do and don't sell.

As of today, the Mishi website says they are closed for business. Bummer!

Not to beat a dead horse..... but here's another good example. I know it's great to save a buck. However, as a dealer, I can't compete with an internet site that's willing to make a quick $200 on the sale of a scoot. I have a monthly overhead, bills to pay, yadda, yadda, yadda.
Hope you can find another good dealer to help with your repair work.
( Another pet peeve....people who buy on the internet then call us and ask us what they can do to get their scooters running, and can they "speak to the mechanic")

Thanks, Cookees. Mishi was a great brick and mortar that some other dealerships should have learned from regarding service and honesty. Anyways, I always support the locals. I might spend a little more, but on all the $$$ I save in gas, the dealers help me so I help them!

Guess I didn't convey the right setting. I welcome new service business. My problem is those, albeit, rare few, who are not customers who want us to explain in detail how to fix their scoot...and oh by the way, could we recommend a good online parts supplier where they can buy the parts. Damn, I'm getting nowhere with you....can I speak to the mechanic?

Those kind of customers you do not need. Tell them to google for the parts or get on a forum. Some do not understand that taking it to a B&M place they will have to pay for labor as long as it is reseaonable. Also it depends on the mechanic and if he is experienced and knows how to diagnose or just a parts replacer and oil an changer.
Good scoot mechanices are rare now a days and are hard to find and if you do not pay them a good hourly wage they will find a place that will. Lefty

Cookees,
There are way to many people that don't have any idea what it cost to be in this business. Business fail every day because they can't make enough money to stay in business and their are customers that think because they bought a cheap scooter the local BM dealer should give them free phone support. We will work on any scooter, but we won't do it for free or cheap.

I think the next time I go to the grocery store, I'll ask them how to make soda, so I don't have to buy it from them anymore. Or I can do like so many patients I see and say, YOU MEAN I HAVE TO BUY MY MEDICINE? ?
