Hi guys, I've been doing a little bit of research, and I can't seem to find a bigger china made scooter then a 150cc for trikes? Do they make them? I have a 150cc scooter for town, but would love to get a trike for trips, and I would like to be able to take a passenger and still go 55-60mph. Any suggestions?

Hi wingcommander, Ice Bear is coming out with 250/300cc trikes they have them advertised on their website. They should be coming in from China pretty soon. Check out this dealer in Wisconsin: His name is Jim he was just approved to sell them: He is also a member of these forum goes by the call sign rapidjim. Alleyoop www.rapidrepair.webs.com/

The 300cc are not in yet, Ice Bear said maybe end of march but I would suspect even later. Dealers are already starting to advertise them for sale but they can't get them yet. I suspect most will be online dealers that just are order takers and have them drop shipped straight from CA. Those are where your going to find the best prices and as they get in line the prices will be all over the place. The way it works is the more units a dealer buys the cost for each unit is less, so those guys can sell them at a lower price than someone that just orders a couple to try the waters. I would wait for more dealers whether online or B&M dealers get approved to sell them and then you will see the competition on prices. Alleyoop

Thanks guys! I'll deff. wait until the 300's come out then. I really love scooters but I have a bit of trouble riding for long distances (I have a bad back / leg) on a 2 wheeler. That's why I'm looking into a trike. Cause now that I've been bitten by the scootering bug I don't see myself ever stopping

Windcommander, Yes the Trikes are good for people that have some medical problems like bad backs, legs, knees, hips etc.. the Trikes keeps us riding:) Myself I have a fused left hip from Nam, leg is 3 inchs shorter and I can no longer open the legs far enough to get on a two wheeler. So with the Trike I just sit on it then swing my good leg over the hump and I'am off with the wind in my face:) Alleyoop

The 300cc trikes are in, but very limited quanities. I don't know anything about motobuys either and my price is a bit higher. I suspect they did a pre-buy on a container to offer them at the price they do.

I own a 650cc chinese trike sold by Wildfiremotors.com here in the states. Not your traditional scooter, more of a microvan - and this forum may not be the best place to post about it- I guess it just depends how much of a purist you are. It seats 4 grownups - or 2 adults and camping gear- does 65 (full throttle on flat ground) and best of all- it stays dry in the rain. www.caranddriver.com/features/09q1/wildfire_wf650-c-column/galleryI don't sell them, but be glad to answer any questions.

gnihsur that's really cool, but just not for me, when I want to take my scooter out I want to feel the air But thanks for posting it, it looks really neat! rapidjim & Alleyoop Thanks for the info. I'm saving up now to try and order the 300cc when it goes down in price a bit. After doing some weekend riding on my 150cc for a bit now, I'm looking forwarding to ordering a trike someday soon!! My next question is this: Can you get a very small trailer to haul a mobility scooter behind a trike? Or would that be safe? (it’s a pride go-go small one) I have trouble walking long distances, but if I ride my gas scooter places I have to keep that in mind. When I get a trike I was wondering if somehow I could take my mobility scooter with me? Also are the 300cc's automatic? Thanks for all the advice guys!!

Wingcommander, First, yes the 300cc's are twist and go, no shifting:) As far as towing a mobility scooter of course you can do it, even with a 150 Trike. Now you probably would need some little trailer big enough to hold the mobility scoot tied down. But even the 150 trikes have enough torque to pull something like that, with a 300cc it would even be better. Alleyoop

As Alley said the 150 will pull a trailer and the 300 will do it even better, they both come from the factory with hitches. The only models that have a shifer is the Chopper style 250.
As far as going down in price, if they do I don't think it will be anytime soon. As fast as they are selling, they have no reason to drop the price. The only deals they have going on right now is on 150cc scooters, because of the slow year last year.
If you are really interested in one, you can give me a call with the model, color you want and a shipping address and I will see what I can do for you price wise.

You could pick up a 250 and put a trike kit on it. I havent seached that hard but I know theres a couple places that sell them. Heres a site that has the kit or will kit up one of thier stock scoots for ya. www.tcscooters.com/trikes.htm-Zug

zugzug, Nice Find, that is just like the ones on our trikes except our Rear Axle has 4 connectors that bolt onto the swing arm while this only has two. But everything else looks exactly like ours. That would certainly be a good alternative to fit on a 250 for $1000.00 bucks. Alleyoop
