Greetings Trike Dawgs,
I recently became the proud owner of an Ice Bear PST 150-9. I've had it for 3 days and have been having great loads of fun tinkering around with it. I'm already looking at replacing the air filter, jets, variator, clutch, and weights. As well as adding a CDI, Iridium spark plug, and coil.
I've picked up weather stripping so that I can line the fender assembly, checked all of the wiring and bolts to make ensure that they are seated and snug. I even put weather stripping on the trunk lid, to remove some of the vibration noise.
I've read through the other Ice Bear Trike threads and plan on putting much of the insights and suggestions that I've read to go use.
Yet, with all of my plans for upgrades and modifications, I seem to have run into one rather large problem. I can't seem to find the freakin fill hole for the gear oil, so that I can replace what came with the motor.
Does anyone have any pictures that they could share with its location? I know its probably staring me right in the face too.
In one of the Ice Bear threads, I noticed that someone mentioned replacing the under seat panel. I completely removed the panel so that I can tweak the carb and replace components during the first couple of weeks. I bought 2 web storage nets--the kind I've seen most people using to store their helmet--from wal-mart. I removed the 6 clips that were on each net, laid the nets on top of each other, and reattached all 12 clips. I attached the clips to the trike frame.
This seems to work really great for helmet storage. There is enough give in the netting to allow the helmet, and other items, to be stored, but not enough give for the stored items to hit the air filter/carb.
