Today I went out to Percy Priest Dam here in Nashville, Tennessee. Weather was nice, about 55 degrees partly cloudy skies and light winds. My ride ended up being about 45 miles from start to finish. All in all I had a great time, this is the first real warm weather we've had since mid November. Here's a picture taken below the dam.

First ride of 2010 ! Sunny, 40 degrees, and a bit of a wind today, and I just had to take a spin. I put my battery back on the scooter, performed a TCLOCS check, cranked the kick starter a few times to get the piston moving, hit the electric starter and it powered right up. 5 minutes, the auto choke cut off, and the engine purred. Rode 18 miles on local roads (a grand tour of Malden, Melrose, Wakefield, and Reading, MA ( bit.ly/WakeMelMaldRead ) , and got it up to 45 MPH (but with many red lights along the way). Odometer now at 2440. Felt good to ride, even for a short time, in the dead of a New England winter. A few other bikers out today ... we all waved. Roads were clear and dry ... even with snow on most lawns and piled high on driveways and parking lots. Battery is back on the trickle charger ... maybe my next ride will be to the Motorcycle Show at Shriners Auditorium ( bit.ly/2010MCshow ) in March ?

Actually I had the good fortune of riding Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Sunday was the best and it topped out here at 67 degrees, wow almost spring! Hopefully the weather will start warming up and I'll be able to ride any day it doesn't rain. On Saturday I ran into a couple that was interested in scooters. After a nice chat with them I gave them gsmotorworks.com website and they said they were seriously thinking about purchasing a scoot. I told them if they did to call me and I'd help them with the PDI. At least I'll have some company to ride with and that would be nice.

Gary, I rode Friday, Saturday, Sunday too. That Dam ride shot looks like a good candidate for Scooter Tag! Love your scooter!
