We finally got a break in the weather where the mrs. and I could get out and ride. Hasnt been to cold here lately but getting alot of rainy days. This is the 1st ride for me this month, and the first for the wife since early november. Had been starting her scooter up occaisionally to keep the oil flowing, but road wise been awhile. Our ride was from our home in Sedro Woolley, WA to just alittle north of Bellingham, WA which is about 30 miles north of us. We rode to the Siver Reef Casino, to try our luck. We were lucky to have a spectacular weather day for Jan, temps in the 50's and the sun was out in force. The casino was also nice to us, walked out with more than we came with and had some drinks to boot. We took highway 99 there riding on the west side of lake Sammamish which parallels I-5. On the way back we took Chuckanut Drive, highway 11, which is a biker favorite. This is a twisty, narrow 2 lane road that follows the coast from Bellingham to north Skagit county. My water shots didnt come out due to excessive glare from the water, was westward shots with sun getting right on the water. Got to get out and ride when we get days like these. To good to pass up.

Standing on a large rock looking down Chuckanut drive
On the road just south of the casino looking across a field at Mt Baker
My wife in her riding gear on her scooter
Smoke break at the Shell station just north of Lake Sammamish
