I made an attachment of the picture. less cursing that way. Thanks to jmstarreckedrat for reminding me that it's nice to share a pic. If I can't be famous, I might as well be nice. Attachments:

Nice, first one I've saw like that. Is that a special exhaust? Jim in N.C.

Jim
The exhaust is what comes on them. I am not sold on it. It looks like a 2 cycle expansion chamber. I doubt a 4cycle motor would get much out of it. But until I really start to make the head breath I don't think it causes any harm so far. I have less than 100 miles on it doing a hard break in in very short bursts only 3 to 4 seconds of WOT then dump the throttle. Pick it back up to 1/2 to 3/4 and hold that for 20 or so seconds and so forth.
It is possible that there may be exhaust pulse issues at some rpms when you try and hold the revs in a band. All I know is that in 2 cycle the size and shape of expansion chambers is a science/black art.

Still not 100 miles on the OD but its cold so I took it to the shop to fix a couple of things that bothered me. The battery was under the seat as delivered. I wanted it out of there. I had an oil cooler kit I got fo 100 bucks over the Holiday. Might as well change the oil and put that on while I have the plastic off. Maybe some paint work for the same reason. Guess I can only post a pic at a time? Here is how far I got in 2 days. Not Scruffy Attachments:

Another shot. I'm pretty happy with it. Still some thinking to do on plumbing. I want to do someting with that Positive cable and how close it is to grounded steel. I think a piece to 1" heater hose on the outside is good enough? Attachments:

This picture might show the cable concern. Attachments:
