Yesterday, after work it warmed up enough, 47 degrees, to take a short ride. I live about 1 mile from a nice Zoo and next to the Zoo is a fairly new junior high school. This school boarders the zoo and there is a large 12' high chain link fence on the boarder. While driving around the school I looked over into a large field and spotted what looked like a very large white tailed deer. I drove closer and could see it was a beautiful 12 point buck! I stopped and walked over to the fence, the deer was probably not more than 6 feet away from the fence and he just stood there watching me. I was amazed that he was so calm, generally this time of year, deer are very secretive and won't get near a human but this deer was different. I just wish I had brought along my camera but, I didn't. I watched the deer graze for about 5 minutes before I got back on my scoot and headed home. All in all it was a very enjoyable ride, just wished I had more time and a camera, maybe next time!

Nice winter ride story. Get em while you can! Have a bone. When i saw the header i thought this was going to be a crash story. I hit an 8 point Buck with a news truck years ago so rides and animals make me paranoid... Got over 50 today so i did a country ride too. 30 miles, but no deer ;D How is NashVegas these days? In the late 90 i was down there a bit shooting music videos. Nice country for riding as i remember.

Nashville is growing rapidly, especially to the south, Rutherford County and Williamson County are seeing explosive growth. You wouldn't recognize the area now with all the expansion and multi-million dollar homes being built. The economy in those two areas haven't suffered as much as some parts of the country. There are still lots of places to ride and we have several beautiful parks that you can ride for hours in on a scooter. If your ever back in this neck of the woods again let me know.
