Hello, i'm down in south florida where we got an unexpected storm that lasted 2 days (yes in december, lol) I was at my job, and my scooter was parked outside. The weather got so bad, it flooded the entire area up to nearly 3-feet of water.
Basically my scooter was parked for about 8-hours of pouring rain. When I started it up the next day, to my surprise, it worked. Except there was a bit of rumbling when I initially accelerated. Besides that, my breaks also started sqeeking louding than usual.
Anything I gotta look out for? should I have it checked out?

Other than making sure everything dried out, I'd run some Sea-Foam through the tank.

if the oil looks Ok and not like it has gray colored goop in it, you are OK. But if you found water in the crankcase, you would change the oil then and make sure that the crankcase had any water in it drained out. Then run the thing with fresh oil for 40 to 50 miles, to ensure the moisture got burned out. some sea Foam in the fuel tank won't hurt anything.
