i have a LED dash on my scooter and i want to convert it to analog. i would like a little input before i shell out bucks for the dash.
the current dash: (LED) the speedo measures in MPH, the odometer in miles. the temp gauge is a idiot light. the tach measures in increments of 250 the gas gauge is not on the cluster. (doesn't work anyway)

Well since the speedo is a digital one, you may have a technical problem, as the analog speedos are still all cable driven off the front wheel. Basically a digital speedo display is just like a bicycle cyclocomputer, same thing. I suppose you could build up a microprocessor board and program it to handle the input pulses from the sensor and convert that to drive a tiny stepper motor needle or a analog meter needle. it might be easier if they are still using a front wheel speedo cable leading to the digital display. If you get the right spacers, you can run a speedo gear drive off the front wheel and then drive a analog speedo directly too.

well then that sounds doable then. Swap out the instrument panel and select which wires you need to hook up for what. Take lots of pics so you can backtrack or reference as needed. if you have to take the pics, and annotate the pics, so you know which wire goes where. Then do the swap. Take pics afterwards for reference purposes too. Since the scooters are pretty generic, the connector plug blocks may even match up close too.

You'll have to either find analogs that will fit the dash or create a new one.

You'll have to either find analogs that will fit the dash or create a new one. the roadrunner 150 race dash will bolt right into the cut out. the tabs and bolt pattern appears the same.
