BBB reportBased on your previous posts, it appears you are "still deciding" on engine size. The "I will do my own work and am getting scoot to dink around with." comment indicates you might be a good candidate for a really cheap non-running GY6 150cc. Have you considered posting an ad on your regional Craigslist > For Sale > Motorcycles? Stators, CDI modules, and ignition coils are relatively cheap on eBay . . if you have the tenacity to troubleshoot these issues.

Well, you are somewhat correct. I have decided to go with a 150 my reasoning being that I am not really interested in freeway speed cruising. Im rreally not comfortable on the freeway with anthing less than a 500 size bike. I live in a pretty rural area and want to just ride locally......I considered used but I hate the thought of buying someone elses neglect. I would think that given the quality of Chinese scoots, it wouldnt take much in the way of neglect to render it useless....I am leaning towards the linhai 150 and the price at Riders Wholesale is low enough to be scarry...thats my reason for this post...thanks...dave

You would not believe what they paid for them. I think the chinese people are making a dollar a day in pay. I saw an invoice for a dealer when he ordered 6 scoots, his cost was 435.00 each and the going price was $949.00 + shipping. The more they order the cheaper they get them for. So if he can deliver that 250 for that price he is still making a profit. They don't want to get stuck with a older model when the new models come in because then he has to drop the price even further on the old model. Some will advertise them for the MSRP, which could mean he did not order in quantiy maybe just a few so his cost for each would be greater than a dealer that ordered 10. Alleyoop

That 250 is not a real Linhai. It is a Linhai "type" engine. Also Linhai upgrades the whole scooter, all the parts are of better quality not just the engine. As far as the 150 Linhai I can deliver one to you for now for about $1299 with liftgate to your home. This is only while the distributor is running a special on them. Don't know how long the special will last. Our Motorino scooters are also on special now for Chrsitmas. As well as a new lineup of dirt bikes from SSR. There I said the C word, never claimed to be politically correct.

Parts for the true Linhai are usually only available from Sunright, the importer of the Linhai. They have a great supply and I never have problems getting parts for their products.
