Okay, my friend has a scoot and ran it in the rain a couple of days ago and whilst in the rain it started to go slower and faster and slower and faster on its own, with the throttle at the same place. He tried to open it up and take a look at it and ended up making it worse somehow... He's semi-mechanically inclined and have worked on it before, however, It is getting a spark but won't turn over now... He thought it might have been a fuel mixture problem before, but now he thinks it might be a carb problem. I don't even have a scoot yet as I am still shopping and he doesn't have a user name for this forum and is I guess has too much pride to ask anybody... I'm posting this without his permission just in case he doesn't get the problem fixed on his own. I know that the problems I'm describing aren't too specific, its because I'm going off of his description of it to me. Does anyone have any suggestions? Or maybe something I should ask him so you guys know what is going on more specifically and then could give more information? Thanks

I replied to your thread in the tech forum. Stop copy+pasting to other sections. It is not necessary, and not appreciated. I'm not staff here, these views are my own, but that's just ignorant.

Sorry about reposting, didn't know which would get replies first... didn't mean to piss off the locals. Won't happen again.
