thanks, I am privileged to live in a beautiful country. If you look at the film "Lord of the Rings" you'll see some more of the South Island of New Zealand. This is where it was shot.

Nice one Kiwi. I've been to Fiji, Samoa and a few other places near you but looking at your ride seems like I've missed a good spot! Have a bone for inspiring a new country on my To Do list!

Nice one Kiwi. I've been to Fiji, Samoa and a few other places near you but looking at your ride seems like I've missed a good spot! Have a bone for inspiring a new country on my To Do list! Now not trying to organize your trips I would like to make a few suggestions. 1.) don't look at New Zealand and dismiss it as a small place and especially the south island and plan to do it all in 10 days. You'll miss the essence of the place. Spend at least 10 days or more on the south island. 2.) Here is Christchurch is a scooter shop (City scooters - www.cityscooters.co.nz ) that hire out m/c's and they have a Kymco Xciting 500 they hire out. That will be an awesome way to see the place. There is no place here where there is not a settlement closer than 50km away, therefor perfect for exploring on two wheels. Just remember you need good rain gear as some places measure their rainfall in meters per year. (FYI - I have no affiliation with City Scooters. I bought my scoot there and they are awesome genuine helpful folk who are feeling the effects of the recession.) You like photography - now this is a photographer's paradise.
